Papa Joe's Pizza & Italian Restaurant — Restaurant in Florida

I have been to this restaurant twice now and both times there was a server who had such an atrocious attitude.

Our first time here, we dined in and we had an older blonde woman as our 'server'. We sat down and she took our drink order. After over 10 minutes of waiting, we realized that we had not received any drinks or been attended to. There was a table who came in after us who were already eating before we even had our drinks. During this time, we found out that she had abandoned our table in favor of a larger group, most likely in hopes of a larger tip. We then flagged down a pleasant young lady with black hair, who brought us our drinks and took our order. This young lady took care of us the ENTIRE time we were there. She was very nice and attentive to our needs. I should also mention that the younger woman who took care of us was actually the 'To-Go order' person. Even though this young woman took care of us, we were essentially without a server the entire time. At the end of our meal, We had to ask a younger gentleman to bring us our check. This was when the older blonde woman came back to us and this was the first time we had seen her since we ordered our drinks. Even then, the younger woman was the one who grabbed our check and ran our card. In the end, our first experience was not pleasant and we felt we were being a burden to the other staff members and felt highly unwelcomed and disrespected by the server we initially had.

Fast forward to today, we went in to pick up our to go order. This older blonde server and a gentleman were sitting at a table. I walked up to them to ask where I could pick up my order but no one answered and I was completely ignored. I did walk up to the counter behind where they were sitting and got my order. But this is now the second time I've come to this establishment and been treated so disrespectfully by the same server. I do want to say that she is the only person I've had a bad experience with. Do not come here. Spare yourself. Pam was terrible. Lazy and unapologetic. We arrived at 7:05 with a party of 5 to watch a movie at 8. She did not even acknowledge us until 7:35. The food took forever and came out at random times. Each person in our party was fed at completely different times. We had one person in our party that was completely done with their entire meal before our other party members were ever served. That's how staggered our meals were. It was so slow, to the point where we had to pack everything up at 8, when the rest of the party finally got their slices, so we wouldn't be late to the movie. To add insult to injury, Pam blamed us. Told us we should of told her that we had a movie so she could speed things up. 30 minutes of no contact from her was our fault? 30 minutes of zero interaction with a table in your section is the customers fault? Never checking on us a single time is our fault? she couldn't even bother to check on us for refills, but that's our fault for not telling her about our movie. Are you insane? It's not like this place was busy when we got there. It was at 1/3 occupancy on top of being an already small place with a small amount of tables. No tables were eating outside so it was very slow at the time.

Pam has zero accountability for her lazy and poor service. It is mind blowing how terrible she was.

What a GREAT Experience! From consistently delicious food to wonderful friendly service EVERY TIME. :) I have to shout out BRIAN and ANGELO these two men have the Gift of making THE BEST PIZZA IN FLORIDA. They are the reason we continue coming back to this restaurant. This specific location, in Heathrow, takes us back to NEW YORK simply with its decor coupled with every bite of their DELICIOUS TRUE NEW YORK PIZZA! The wings are also Great! I have NEVER Ordered our meals twice in one sitting but today we did! Brian's pizza making skills left us SPEECHLESS so I had to compliment him again. I have also walked up to Angelo twice to compliment him as well, so I had to write this review. This family owned restaurant truly knows how to make pizza! Their perfectly baked crust with a crunchy bottom crust (Note* NOT BURNT) took us back to New York with every bite. Their pizza crust, sauce and cheese created a beautiful symphony of unforgettable flavors and textures that danced in our mouths. Brian and Angelo are the BEST Pizza makers of ANY restaurant we've been to in the States. Please give these men a raise and do what you have to, to keep them. Both have the pizza making skills to put ALL Restaurants who "claim" to have New York Pizza to shame!
