I’m not even bullshitting you first of all I love donuts and sweets and what have you My first impression when I saw the donuts that somebody had brought back to our job site I knew nothing about it or the place not even from Jacksonville. They looked in my opinion, kind of dry and not very tasty, man so I wasn’t really expecting much. I had the smaller donut holes type of donuts that they have at first and it was way better than I expected, but then I tried another one. This one was filled with some kind of cream, and I also dipped it in this little cup of what looked like peanut butter That they gave and it did taste like peanut butter, but it was like a caramel or sweet taste of peanut butter that I’m telling you was so good and it went with the taste of the donuts perfectly. I was so impressed that I’ve been telling everybody about this place ever since!!! I’ll be honest with you guys. I love my food. I travel all over the country for working. This is one of my favorite parts of it only thing that sucks is when I leave. A lot of these places This would be one of them definitely worth checking out. I don’t know the flavors and never been in the actual store so I can’t give a lot of advice except that just go and you won’t be disappointed and definitely Make sure you ask them for a few cups of that caramel peanut butter is delicious with those donuts!!! I’m actually probably gonna go get one right now talking...
Read moreI appreciate having a local company serving craft coffee in the Fruit Cove area. Bold Bean do have one of the best coffee beans in the Duval area. Assuming it was roasted well, I unfortunately had an under extracted Ethiopian pour over here. I have given my feedback of the sub par quality of a pour over. For the market price, I would of rather done a french press or drip coffee here. I was told their coffee to water ratio was 1:18 which is appropriate. However, the brewer informed me the grinder was "finicky" which could be the issue. I am very surprised that you would release a product that wasn't processed correctly. It might be helpful to test the total solids dissolved to assist your in the quality of the pour over.
The brewer informed me he has not done as much pour overs. Therefore, I will try this place one more time with another brewer to see if the quality is appropriate for craft coffee. If not, I might have to drive out further to Bold Bean or Social Grounds Coffee for a perfect pour over.
On the side note based on my observation, it looks like masks are not required here. One employee was wearing a mask and another was not. Customers were not at all wearing a mask but all were on their laptops barely drinking coffee. One person was having a web conference on...
Read moreThis location has a staff with a major attitude problem. My Mother came in on May 1st, 2024 is a Cancer Survivor who has had a really hard time finding food she can eat due to the nature of her oral surgery. She had heard how good the doughnuts are and wanted to get a Blueberry Doughnut. When she got to the counter to pay for her 1 doughnut. She pulled out a $50 bill because that's all she had on her.. the young lady at the register informed her that she could not accept the currency because they do not keep enough money in the drawer to run the business. Asked my mother if she had another form of payment.. which she didn't have. So they took the doughnut back and just starred at her. Well when she told me I called the location to speak with a manager and was informed by the rude female employee that the managers don't have set schedules and we're not available to speak. As I asked her why they had treated me mother like that she promptly hung up the phone.. I called back and a kinder sounding young woman answered and explained things a little better and at least heard me out but still was sassy. Neither of the two women who I engaged with showed any customer service training experience and clearly has a lack of respect for the customers who purchase...
