Not happy with my first visit. Will likely be my last. I took my family because I'd seen that on Mondays kids meals were $2.99. I walked in and noticed the deal posted in plain view on the window next to the entrance. We sat down and ordered 2 kids meals and 3 other entrees. When the time came to pay, I looked at my bill and saw I had been charged full price for both kids meals. When I raised my concern the waiter informed me the policy had changed and they were no longer offering the Monday deal. When I pointed out that they still have the deal posted at the entrance he offered to let the manager know. Even after talking to the manager the establishment's response was basically "sorry, not sorry". No discount, no manager stopping by to apologize and explain the situation; nothing. It's a shame too because I promise I'll not step foot in any Cantina Louie anywhere despite how much I enjoyed the food. I'm certain I'll find a place with a more accommodating and upfront policy where I can spend my money. Not only did I find the unwillingness to admit that the posted policy entitled me to a reduction in my bill, I am convinced their silence on the policy was intentional. With several families with kids dining in their establishment on a posted kids menu discount day, I believe management was taking advantage of the families who wouldn't notice the discrepancy. An honest, customer oriented establishment would have made it clear to any family with children that the policy was rescinded and allow them to decide if they still wanted to dine there. Instead silence ensured everyone was on the hook when it came time to settle the bill. That level of dishonesty speaks volumes about management and how they regard their clientele. Thanks for making that obvious on my very first visit. I'll be sure to pass along the sentiment to everyone I know so they can avoid the...

We stopped by in the afternoon after an appointment nearby, excited to try this place since it had pretty decent reviews and the food looked tasty. We were greeted by a nice lady at the front who seated us right away. However, the floor was unbelievably sticky. With just us and another table in the restaurant, it made me wonder why this hadn’t been addressed. I have to admit, it was a bit of a turnoff, especially with such a great atmosphere. The walls were covered in beautiful murals, and there were lots of interesting decor items to admire.

Our waitress was prompt and friendly, bringing us chips and salsa right away. We ordered the carne asada fries, a street taco basket, a kids' cheese quesadilla and fries, and a surf and turf quesadilla. They were quick to bring out our child’s meal, which we really appreciated. They didn’t bring our appetizer out early, but that might have been because we ordered everything at once—I’m not sure.

The food overall was tasty. My husband ordered two al pastor and one carnitas taco. He didn’t care for the carnitas, but he said the al pastor was amazing and he’d definitely get those again if we go back. The fries were pretty good but didn’t hold up well for leftovers. My surf and turf quesadilla was good, but there were maybe two shrimp in the whole thing—it was mostly steak.

Our waitress checked on us frequently and even offered refills to go, which was a nice touch. Overall, it was a decent experience, but those sticky floors really dampened the vibe. That said, the place had a chill atmosphere, and we were...

First, I was happy to stop per first time at Cantina Louie's when I notice the size they had for the chips' sauce: A very appropriate size for the basket of tortillas normally served at Mexican restaurants. Also, the atmosphere was relaxing and the level of noise was low, just proper for lunch time. Every person from the staff who took care of me at Cantina Louie's, was very pleasant and at the end Willy, the manager, was there to make sure all was perfect. Before leaving, I mentioned to Willy how happy I was about the size of their container for the sauce that comes with the chips because no long ago I went to Salsa's Restaurant, another Mexican place close to home at Durbin Pavilion, no far from this one, and the cup of salsa for chips they use was extremely small, wouldn't hold more than 2-3 tablespoons and in addition, they wanted to charge me $4.00 for any additional tiny serving of a simple salsa for chips, after the first 2, while we were waiting for 2 full dinner orders! Also, the person in charge at Salsa's restaurant, was aggravated for my complaint about their policy of extra charge given the tiny size of their Salsa containers. For that reason we won't go back to Salsa's Restaurant. We will become regular customers at Cantina Louie's where Willy and his staff assured me they'd never charge extra for any sauce, no matter which one I want. Kuddos to Cantina Louie's at Mandarin,...

Ordered a pick up on Tuesday which is their "Taco Tuesday" night. When we walked in it was definitely busy, the food was ready to be picked up! Unfortunately the lady at the front did not have change for cash and we had to wait a little longer than 10 minutes for her to get the change, which she did with her really bad attitude. Im assuming because it inconvenienced her that she had to go to the bar and get change. When we got home the food was almost cold even though we live a minute away. I thought the atmosphere was awesome & decorations so cute. My son ordered the California burrito and the pictures shown can show you what we received. It was not rolled at all. The meat was on one side of the roll & the rice on the other. He was pretty disappointed to say the least. On the other hand the two tacos that I received were sub par after I put them in the microwave. I think this is definitely a restaurant you need to sit down and eat- do not get takeout.

Best spot ever for Cinco de Mayo! The first thing that stands out about Cantina Louie is the atmosphere. The restaurant is bright and colorful, with plenty of seating and a vibrant decor that makes you feel like you're on vacation. The staff is also friendly. The food is also excellent. They offer a wide selection of Mexican classics like tacos, burritos, enchiladas, and quesadillas, as well as specialty dishes like fajitas and chimichangas. Plus, the portion sizes are generous. In addition to the food, they have a great selection of drinks. The bar offers a variety of beers, margaritas, and specialty cocktails. I would highly recommend Cantina Louie to anyone looking for delicious Mexican cuisine in a fun and lively atmosphere.

Went here for dinner. Drinks were great! Our waitress was really good. Food was delicious. I ordered the west coast burrito, it was missing the queso dip and sour cream but still tasted fine. My fries were suppose to be mixed in jalapeƱos and onions, I asked for no onions and when the tray came out the fries just had like four or five jalapeƱos laid on top so I thought that was a waste because the fries were cooked good but just no flavor for having jalapeƱos laid on top of them. My boyfriend ordered the carnitas and they forgot his tortillas but he still enjoyed it and the waitress did bring them out for him. Overall we would still visit again but would try something else on the menu.
