Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Florida

NEVER ORDERING FROM THIS PIZZA HUT AGAIN (MELBOURNE FL). The DOOR DASH driver took our $60 food and either just left it at the door of the wrong apt. or actually gave it to the wrong person and reported that she handed it to me at 11:01 pm. She had to go back to the other house/apt and retrieve. We received our food at around 11:06. Not sure why she wouldn't just call/text me instead of leaving it at the wrong apt. Also, we ordered a double order of cheese sticks along with our pizzas. They gave us breadsticks. When I called to let pizza hut know, he offered to give me a credit, which I didn't want because I'm not from around there Then he asked could I come pick it up, which I couldn't do, hence the reason I ordered delivery in the first place, so I asked him could he just refund the cheese sticks ($12), we were placed on hold for over 17 minutes. Once the guy came back to the phone, he only wanted to refund me $9, (the difference between the price of the breadsticks and cheese sticks) as if it was my fault he screwed up the order. Also, he said that he cannot refund me until the next day because of something dealing with the credit card machine. 🙄 The cheese sticks were $12, and he said that because we still got breadsticks he was only going to refund $9. We didn't want breadsticks, I would never order breadsticks, I specifically wanted cheese sticks. So instead of just going ahead and refunding the full $12, he thought it would be smart to send someone else out with another order of cheese sticks. Which I thought was not a smart move at all! At that point (about an hour later, after 12AM) I didn't even want the cheese sticks and I told him I didn't want to tip again, and he said that we don't have to, but I'm sure the driver probably felt some type of way about having to come out there twice. Also, he left our pesto drizzle off of our pizza, which we paid for. Those stuffed crust pizzas were not cheap, over $20 for one, and we got two. WORST PIZZA HUT EVER. The first problem we had with them was a few months ago, when we ordered I believe it was a family deal. When the food arrived it had been shoved over to one side of the boxes. It looked like the driver may have slammed on his brakes and the food went flying. It was a mess. I took pictures and called the store immediately. I was told that they would replace my order on another day. A couple of weeks passed and we called to claim our replacement food, and no one knows nothing. The manager kept referring to me as bro, until I finally had enough and told him to address me as sir or Mr.Roebuck. After about 15min of trying to talk with the manager we decided we did not want the food anymore , for fear something would be done to our food. Today after about 6mo we tried them again. I called the store to make an order and was asked for my phone number, to which I told them we had moved and have a different address. They took my new address and my order. After over an hour we get a call saying that they went to the wrong address and that the person who took the order was not there and did not update the new address. Now our previous home is about 15min from our new home. By the time we got our food it was luke warm. The only thing we got was sorry the person who put the info in, didn't. I’ve been eating Pizza Hut for my entire life and this is the only time I wasn’t able to eat it because it tasted horrible. Tasted old—like it was a reheated pizza from another day, had a strange sour taste to it that made me lose my appetite for anything else, the texture of dough was awful—super chewy, greasy and tasteless, and found a pit in my olive that nearly broke my tooth. The rest of my family refused to eat after trying it. It was so bad. Hope none of us get sick as I am actually concerned that we were given rancid ingredients in our pizza or the food was intentionally made poorly and perhaps cooked in unsanitary conditions. I am afraid to even eat the pizza from this location again. Think I will stick with one of several local pizza shops that I know are consistent with quality. 1 star for food, but 4 star for service as the order was completed in reasonable time and employees seemed to be decent with the service provided when we picked the order up.
