Customer service goes a long way.
My first time there a few months ago was not a great first impression at all. I walked in and we were quickly ushered outside with a less than welcoming voice saying we had to order online. Ok, whatever. I wish there was a sign posted somewhere on the door before we were given the look of death for daring to enter the store. It's the age of the Coronavirus and I get that extra precautions are requested, I get it and we obliged. We did that and had a great Boba tea.
Another time we ordered online and I went inside to pick up our two Boba teas. The lady asked me if I knew what time it was. Confused I told her, I don't know and she pointed at a clock on the wall. I then read her the time (Maybe she couldn't tell time, I thought? Confused as to why she'd ask though....hmmm). She then proceeded to tell me to look at my receipt at the pickup time. Honestly, I didn't know that there was a pick up time (oops). However, it was literally 2 minutes before the alleged pick up time on the receipt. I would have respected her request but she could've been more friendly let's just say that. The drinks were brought out literally after she finished her tirade.
Fast forward to the third strike as in baseball. My husband put in our "to go" order while he was at work on his lunch break and I went to pick it up. My usual slush was an ice tea. I went back inside and asked if they could check the receipt (as I didn't have it) because I always get a slushy and not a tea. The staff member proceeded to just say "no" "no" "no". She didn't even let me finish. I asked her if she could just convert my drink into a slushy. Seriously, just throw ice into it and throw it in the blender. The drink wasn't even opened yet. They refused and said there is a price difference. People it was a THIRTY CENT difference. I would have gladly paid the difference, but I wasn’t even given the opportunity. I was calm the entire time and honestly more taken aback that this was the third, rude experience.
Don't waste your time. Yeah they have boba tea but I would rather support small business that actually appreciates and values their customers. I know mistakes happen and we all have bad days but three rude experience in just the last few months is not a coincidence. Respect and kindness go a long...
Read moreI think I've given just about every boba shop in Brandon a 5 star review. That's because each one has their own unique qualities. I like them all for specific drinks. Quickly Boba is no exception. In fact, I had my very first boba tea at this location back in 2018 when it first opened. I started my adventure with the Thai Milk Tea. The flavor of the Thai tea was very well pronounced, and it wasn't as sweet as a traditional Thai tea. It was very refreshing. I then graduated to the strawberry milk tea with lychee jellies. Well, it just kept getting better and better. They also had awesome avocado smoothies, Vietnamese iced coffee, and served delicious avocado toast as well as banh mi sandwiches. But, then the pandemic hit. I say this with sadness because this was a great place to chill & relax, and it sadly hasn't been the same since that time.
Fortunately, it's no longer just online ordering and pick ups anymore. I was so happy to see the same two ladies who have always provided great service with a smile. It was so nice to see them again. They still don't have my favorite avocado smoothies, but they do have a newer matcha latte menu. It lists some great flavors that they mix in with the matcha such as taro, caramel, cinnamon almond, and vanilla lavender. I've never seen that before. I got the taro matcha latte, and it was wonderful. It had the perfect amount of sweetness. I appreciate that the default is not at a 100% sweetness level like most boba shops in town. I usually have to order it at 50% sweet, but not here. Also, their drinks are more affordable than any other place. They are all under $6.
I'll continue to get some of my favorites here. I hope they will eventually bring back the avocado smoothie and Vietnamese iced coffee. In the meantime, maybe I'll try the banana smoothie or the vanilla lavender match...
Read moreTea is ok. Nothing special. Required to place orders online. Then charge you a convenience fee if $1.50 for placing order online. Drink is not brought out to you. It is left on a table inside the door. Requireing one to place an order online is not convenient. It is required. Requireing one to get out of car to get the drink is not convenient. Again it is required. Nothing convenient concerning this order. So I ask, why is their a convenient fee of $1.50 attached to the order. You should not be charging people to place online orders when you as a business require customers to place orders this way. Money grab at its purest. AS A RESPONSE TO YOUR COMMENTS REGAURDING FEEDBACK. I am aware of what is going on and yes I will take my business to other locations. My comments have nothing to do with health concerns. You call the fee a convenience fee. Call it what it is. It is a surcharge to cover your processing fees. Be upfront about it. You also could have allowed people to place an order at the entrance. You are already having people opening the door to get their drink which is left on a table inside. You could also have just let a person call on the phone and place the order. There are many safe ways for you to take care...
