Took two of my employees to dinner as a reward for a long day of work. We were greeted promptly and seated quickly. That is about all that went right. It turned out the lady that seated us was also our waitress, but still took her several minutes to come back for a drink order. We were the only customers in the area we were seated, so I know she didn't have another table to take care of. We got our drinks and were almost done with them by the time she came back for the food order. We placed our order, I explained to her I had a food allergy so please make sure that the kitchen was aware of it. She assured me it was not a problem. When our food arrived two of the three meals arrived, the third meal arrived several minutes later. Once again we went in later in the night, I think there might have been three tables in the restaurant with customers at them. I started to fix my baked potato once we had all three meals and found my sour cream to have black specs in it. I told the others to go ahead and eat as I figured the waitress would be back to check on us in a few minutes. No such luck, my guests were halfway done with their meals before I asked someone sweeping the floors around us - yep sweeping the floors while we sat there eating - to get a manager please. The manager arrived I told him we still had not seen the waitress, then explained the reason I called him over. He saw the black spots in the sour cream, knew they were too small to have come from the pepper mill yet insinuated I had placed it there. I believe his exact words were I know how our sour cream is handled and refrigerated so it must be something someone at the table put in there. I explained I am worried it is mold or some form of cross contamination which since I have allergies is a problem. He once again assured me he knew how they handled their product so it must be something from the table. At that point I said just take the food and bring me my bill. The manager walked away, sent the waitress with my bill, they did remove my meal since I had not even taken a bite of it. I paid the bill the waitress apologized several times about the incident and said she had no idea why he handled us the way he did. I asked the waitress for the District Managers name and phone number, she said she would bring it out to me. The Manager brought it out instead and to say he was abrupt would be putting it kindly. I said thank you , he didn't even respond so I have to admit at that point my temper did get the better of me and told him I could not believe someone working a hospitality job could not say your welcome when a customer says thank you, regardless of the situation. At that point he said he didn't hear me, being as we were the only table in the area and he was talking to us, I can understand the noise level must have drowned me out. If you want good service and quality food I would suggest another Ruby Tuesdays or another restaurant because management at this one doesn't care...
Read moreWe have visited this location several times, and each time we have gone the food has just been ok, but the services has always been great. Unfortunately, the last time we went, even the great service could not out weigh the horrible food. I had he Salmon New Orleans, which is one of my favorite dishes anywhere, but this one was so fishy it was inedible. The sauce looked like the orange grease that runs off of tacos, and tasted like dirty fryer oil. My husbands sirloin was so tuff, and stringy that you literally had to swallow your bite whole if you wanted to ingest it. No amount of chewing was going to make any difference. The server that we had was very apologetic, and quickly took both of our meals back, and asked what we would like instead. After one bite of mine, my appetite was unfortunately gone, but my husband ordered a burger instead of a replacement steak. The manager came to our table to find out what the problems with our food was, and proceeded to tell my husband that "sirloins are not filet mignon, and are typically tuff, and stringy." We are by no means steak experts, but we have eaten our share over our lifetimes, and NEVER have I been told that a sirloin was supposed to be basically in-chewable! Not to mention the fact that sirloin has always been one of my favorite cuts, due to the fact that it is tender, flavorful, and not fatty. I think we were both so stunned that we didn't even really reply, rather just sat there nodding not knowing what exactly to say without sounding rude. Our sever did take off both uneaten meals, and only charged half price for the burger that we ended up taking home for my husband to eat. The only reason I'm giving this location 2 stars is because of the servers that work there, they deserve more, but I can't do it based on the horrible food,...
Read moreWhat happened to you, Ruby Tuesday?
I have not visited a Ruby Tuesday in quite some time for no particular reason other than there is not one near my home. Yesterday evening around 5pm, we visited the Summerlin Ruby Tuesday as we were on that side of town.
Upon walking in, we were sat at our table and the first thing noticed was the carpets. They are stained and gross, but I do understand that it's a restaurant and that will happen over time.
After being sat, there were three white plates on the table two of which had dirt on them.
I ordered the "new" chicken Tacodilla which claims to be "stuffed with chicken". As you can see in the photo, there was only a few small slivers of chicken... A far cry from "stuffed" which was the case for all three pieces of Tacodilla. The flavor was good, but you can't go wrong with anything covered with queso. For $10, this meal was very disappointing
With the Tacodilla, I ordered a side of fries which came out on a plate with about 15 fries, a lot of which were small broken pieces. I've also attached a photo of the fries. This may be normal for RT, but for $4, it's unacceptable.
The final kicker was the bathroom. It was horrendous inside. The toilet was covered in pee and the sink had a brown, frothy substance in it and brown staining. A very disgusting bathroom.
The flavor of the meals were good, the service was... OK, but everything else was not good.
What happened to you,...
