My husband and I eat at Ruby Tuesday’s in Fleming Island, Fl most every Sunday after church. We find it to be very enjoyable. We especially like the salad bar. We think it is delicious!! Ruby’s has a wide variety of different items on their menu. Of course, I haven’t eaten but a few of my favorites and they are always spot on. The main thing that makes Ruby’s on Fleming Island so special and enjoyable for us is our server (waitress) Heather. She works in the bar area…as well as where the booths are in the bar area. She is MAGNIFICENT!! She is the best server - bar none- that we have ever met in Florida or anywhere else. …including Ruth Chris and other top Dollar restaurants. We call her on our way to the restaurant and she has our table ready with the drinks she knows we always order. Everything just ready for us to sit down. If she sees us coming from the parking lot she does the same thing …has everything ready. She not only does it for us but for other couples as well. She is quick and has our refill drinks (tea…coffee…coke or whatever)…at the table without our ever having to ask her. She is extremely nice and personable …polite and kind.…and patient. I can’t say enough wonderful things about. She is top notch!
Update and continuation …June 11, 2023 My husband and I continue to eat at Ruby’s most every Sunday. The food continues to be excellent. The service …with “our server …Heather…is extraordinare…outstanding!! She is on top of everything …she gives 110% to each customer she serves!! We truly appreciate Heather and all she does for us. Dean, the manager is great!! He is so personable, seems to keep everyone working with good spirits and good attitudes!!! Makes for a most pleasant...
Read moreIt's about what you would expect from a forgotten about resturant. First time in years and not sure when or if we will return.
The waitress was wonderful, on time, caring, accommodating and overall outstanding. The manager continously walked around resetting tables and made his presence known in the dining area. Salad bar seemed okay, the beets were dried out. The rest of our food however came out as if it had been sitting underneath an ac unit, and they were nearly empty for a monday night. Maybe their heating lamps were broken or off? Nothing we ordered was piping hot. Soup was cold and semi congealed. The cajan pastsa wasn't very Cajun in spice and was was pretty Lukewarm. The fries were semi crisp on the outside but like cooled down mashed potatoes on the inside. They were interesting and very hard to describe. Did like the hickory Bourban sauce but again, the chicken was once again Luke warm. It's like most of the food was precooked and just barely nuked in the microwave to take the chill off. Not once did the manager come and talk to any of the tables to check in with anyone. They weren't that busy and he could have really made his presence known.
I was also disappointed to hear that the pumpkin cheesecake had been discontinued for days at this point but the advertisement wasn't labeled as being out of stock. We weren't notified at the beginning of our meal that it wasn't avaialable. It was actually the only reason we attempted to try here.
It's still a step above an Applebee's any day, but it's still just mediocre and not really worth...
Read moreWe went on a sat evening about 630pm...the place was NOT busy at all especially for this time of season and it being a weekend for the location...the customer service was okay but the food was horrible...they were having major issues with their cooks while we were there, there were 4 tables not including ours that had to send at least one plate back to the kitchen 3/4 times and still wasn't right!!! I got the deconstructed kabobs they were decent but my hubby got the salmon took one bite out of it and noticed 1 the temp was not right the color wasn't right and it was rotten on the bottom!! My hubby is a salmon lover Soo it's safe to say he has had his fare share in his lifetime and knows what he should be getting...didn't even try to cook it more substitute comp it nothing she brushes it under the rug and said it was the fatty part and normal...I know typically it would be a supervisor or manager that has to approve it but she didn't even attempt to get management mind you we had already waited over 45 mins for our food the first time and after witnessing what I did with multiple other tables we just told her to give us the bill... If it wasn't for my character and the season it is our server would not have received a tip...I gave her a tip...don't come for me!! What I mean is we typically tip 30% of our bill when the average is 18%, she only got 18% our bill and could have made more her...
