Have eaten here many times before but this was the worse experience I've had here. Waitress we had made ordering strange, she was awkward and not attentive. I've always gotten the same thing when I come but she said that it couldn't be done the way I wanted (fried grouper with cheese tater tots no bacon on side). We ordered a dozen oysters, pretzel app, and our entrees were both fried grouper. A bowl of cheesy tots (appetizer) came and was placed on our table which was confusing as we did not order it, waited for the waitress well over 5 minutes, she finally came over and took the tots and I explained again what I had wanted and she said that our food would be out soon and that she would have to correct what she put in as she put cheese fries not tots. Our food came out, his was fried grouper and mine was beer battered grouper, which was not what I ordered. A man came over and asked how we were and we told him we ordered oysters but it never came, he went to the computer and I'm assuming added the oysters to our order. Oysters came last to the table and were probably the best thing at the table, but again waited and waited for any server to come by to ask for hotsauce. The waitress would disappear and out of the hour or so we were there we saw her 3 or 4 times. Had to ask for check, was not offered dessert or asked if we needed anything the whole time we were there from the original waitress. Just all around awkward and...
Read moreWe ate here recently because it appeared nice & was it was within walking distance of our hotel. On the surface the restaurant appeared to be a nice seafood place, but in reality it was more of a sports bar vs seafood restaurant. Our crab cakes were ok, but not nearly the quality of a typical Florida seafood restaurant. Our server was nice & courteous, however I had to ask the bartender to find us a waitress, since we had sat for 10 minutes & never got any attention. My biggest problem here is NONE of the staff are wearing masks. This is really irresponsible of the restaurant management to allow or encourage this, as we’re in the middle of a worldwide pandemic & this virus is easily transmitted by asymptomatic people. Our waitress simply talking in our direction could possibly spread the virus, then I could unknowingly spread it to my family, friends, etc. I can only assume the kitchen staff are also maskless, creating additional exposure risk. This is how we all got into this problem early last year & this is also the first restaurant I’ve been to since the pandemic began a year ago that has wait staff without masks (& I travel and eat out a lot!) I suggest avoiding this restaurant for your safety as well as your loved ones, until at least the staff are required mask-up or the Covid-19...
Read moreMy wife and I went to this location because we were shopping near there and hungry. We normally eat at the Estero location, so we thought it would be a good dinner. 3 strike in one visit for this location, 1st foul, first upon arrival was about to sit down and a young thin bearded bartender told us we had to see a hostess to get seated, we went to the hostess station and was told it is open seating sit where we'd like. 1st strike, once seated the other bartender approached us, took our drink order and returned shortly there after with the drinks my glass was cracked and chipped from the lip down an inch and over an inch and a half, thin bartender poured my drink into a different glass. 2nd strike after getting our dozen oysters, I asked for hot sauce and that is the only thing brought to us, we didn't get a service of condiments, salt, pepper, sauces all of which are on most tables, for the entire meal, got silverware with entrée, 3rd strike, my Caribbean jerked Grouper was half raw, my wife's salad was ok, but she was finished with her salad before I got half my grouper back mostly shredded. I will never return to this location. I asked to speak with the manager, Christian but was told he wasn't there. If I return to another Rusty's Raw bar and grill it will NOT be...
