Oh yes it's ladies night and the feelings right! Yes it's ladies night oh what a night!
Are you singing now? Good. Then you'll remember that ladies night is every Thursday (I don't know what time specifically but I try to get here around 8ish.) They serve beer and even better, wine on tap at discounted prices on Thursday. Along with the discounted alcohol, they have certain apps and pizzas on special as well. The prosciutto and goat cheese with arugula is my favorite. Since it's baked in a wood fire oven, the prosciutto gets crispy and is reminiscent of crispy bacon. The dough is cooked perfectly and always comes out the right texture, and never burnt like some wood fire places do. The pasta fagioli soup has a hint of sour to it but it's a pleasant sour almost like the lime added in a Thai soup or lemon in a Greek avgolemono soup. I always finish my meal off with the cannoli which has a rich sweet ricotta filling and a good crunchy shell.
The place is clean and I love how they provide all the pizza necessities on the counter: red pepper flakes, parmesean, extra plates, and to go boxes for your left overs. I never have to wait to ask for these things which is super convenient with how busy they can get. They have outdoor seating and ample parking. It's my favorite pizza joint in the Odessa area; especially on Thursdays. You're welcome. You can thank me with a glass of pinot noir if you see me having a...
Read moreFood is good, but the customer service sucks. Since new management took over you can tell it’s turning more “corporate” than family owned business. We went in and ordered a pizza and a pasta dish and their cheesy garlic knots (which we requested to have these come out first). After 20 min the pizza came out. We then mentioned we ordered garlic knots and they should have come out first. But mistakes happen it’s okay. After another 10 min the garlic knots came out. We waited for the pasta and after an additional 10 minutes we went in and asked about it and was told “oh yeah the pasta guy and pizza guy didn’t coordinate.” We then expressed that the pizza came out before the garlic knots and the guy goes “haha yeah the pizza guy must not have read the ticket” no apology nothing - I understand stuff happens but to laugh at your customers and not offer any sympathy for your staff messing up? There’s been a few more bad experiences since then that had made us decide never to come back. It does suck because the food is pretty good especially being in this...
Read moreAwesome place and great food! My only complaint is making me wait so long for you to open and be able to try the food! We had a plain pizza, the house "de la casa" salad, and a side of spaghetti with garlic and oil, all of it was great! We got takeout, but the inside looked really nice and they even have a nice little patio area. I'm from NJ so finding good pizza like home is hard here in FL. Looks like we found a new pizzeria!
UPDATE: We tried Santelli again last night. Order took a while to be ready, but food was still pretty good! Chicken parm was a bit dry, but had good flavor. I am taking one star away from them, as they literally just opened a month ago, and have just increased the pricing of some items, such as the chicken wings (delicious), side order of spaghetti with garlic and oil, and a few other things. Never gives off a good feeling when a brand new place starts increasing pricing this early on, but we'll still continue to order from Santelli, as long as they don't continue increasing the pricing this quickly...
