On 7/4/24 we decided to go to Seneca's to try their pizza. They had a chalkboard they had a premium pizza with a list of toppings where we come from, a premium pizza is everything that is listed goes on the pizza unless you specify and ask for anchovies on the side. We thought all the toppings go on the pizza but no we were wrong. The lady who took the order said no the toppings were extra per topping so we got cappi and braciole. The lady explains that everything is freshly handmade so it roughly took about 15/20 minutes give or take.
When she brought it out she said it was "hot and fresh" right out of the oven. My husband and I looked at that pizza looked at each other and was like......what is this? As you can see in picture one is the pizza we bought. With two toppings which ran us $24.80 for a whole pizza. We both took our medication and if we didn't have to get something in our stomach, from taking medication on an empty stomach which Naproxen we would had asked for our money back and walked straight out the door.
Pizza was so thin it looked like a pita bread the cheese was molded wasn't stringy like a pizza should be you couldn't even even out the toppings around the pizza. We paid for two toppings and you couldn't even top the pizza with the right amount and evenly throughout the pizza.
As you can see in picture one look at this pizza and the owner made it. Are you serious?? Are you kidding me?? We asked for salt, pepper, oregano, crushed red pepper, garlic powder and parmesan cheese they had absolutely no pepper out to get. They actually had to go in the back to get the pepper. Who runs a pizza and sandwich shop with no salt and pepper? Or the rest that was listed above?? We been here for 15 years and I have to truly admit this has to be the worse pizza I have ever eaten in my entire life.
There was no flavor to that pizza none whatsoever. The sauce was plain jane and so was the meat topping if you want to call that meat toppings. What a joke! What a big act that you are putting on, with the Italian beanie cap and the Italian Frank Sinatra music what an act!! A bunch of phoneys. You call yourselves New Yorkers?? Your food is a disgrace if this is where you say you come from.
Sorry to say we don't think New York pizza's or sandwiches is all that to brag about. If you want a real sandwich and a real pizza with tasteful sauce, quality, tasteful meat and cheese and you don't have to smother it with salt, garlic powder, oregano and crushed red pepper to bring out the flavor of a pizza that is pathetic. Let alone it is optional to each his own but, South Jersey pizza is already perfect right out of the oven. If you want to top it with a light salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, crushed red pepper and a little parmesan cheese you just put a little bit on there but to smother it on your pizza all you tasted was the seasonings you put on it. That's all you tasted on it, the pizza was dull, plain and absolutely no flavor at all the worse pizza ever.
I would not recommend wasting your time and money there for a total disappointment. It's pretty bad when you can buy a Red Baron frozen pizza and it blows their pizza out the door. If you need a set skill how to make sandwiches and make a proper pizza, you better stop everything you know and break every one of your bad habits and bad habits are hard to break, but you need to learn how to make a pizza and sandwiches because you have no idea what you are doing.
Pictures two and three are from New Jersey this is what we make back home. This is what a pizza is supposed to look like. Do yourself a favor go to South Jersey and learn how to make a proper pizza and sandwiches. Mozzarella cheese on a pizza is supposed to be very stringy yours was molded...
Read moreI ordered a 12 inch pizza and stuffed grape leaves. The food was outstanding. Best pizza I've had in a long time. The crust is amazing. Flavor and texture is perfect. The toppings are fresh and flavorful. The grape leaves taste authentic and are wonderful. I went on a whim hoping for good food and fast service at an extremely busy time. Unrealistic on my part. The staff was super busy. My order was placed in a warmer. Maybe I missed them calling my name. But if I hadn't seen the box with my name, I don't know how much longer I would have waited. I had been there about 40 minutes. However by the time I got it home a vegan to eat it was still fresh and warm. Very satisfying. Additionally, the person taking my order was stressed and short with answers and not helpful. Again, they were very busy. So I gave 5 stars because I feel sure this place will thrive with some customer service fine tuning. I will be back. I'm excited to try many things on the menu. But for pizza and stuffed grape leaves, this will be my go to. Welcome to Gulf Breeze and lots of luck with the business.
Follow up. I've been here 3 more times since documenting my first review. I would give them more than 5 stars. Outstanding service and food. I'm so happy to have this place in my neighborhood of Gulf Breeze. The service is fast, friendly, and responsible. I love that this is a family owned and operated establishment. The food is absolutely delicious with nice size portions. Great prices, too. I'll...
Read moreWe had an appointment in Gulf Breeze and after seeing them on the Internet decided we would try it. As we were coming in, we were told that they were only open from 2-5 for quick things like pizza by the slice and is that what we were looking for. We said "No. More like sandwiches " but said "Thank you" and started to leave. The owner motioned for us to come back and he said that he would take care of us. And boy! Did he take care of us. I ordered the Italian and my husband order the chicken cutlet parm. (large of course) We also ordered two large canoles which we took to go. The sandwiches were really large and we ended up taking half of the sandwiches home along with the canoles. On the way home, we told ourselves how lucky we were we didn't live too close. If we did, we might never eat a meal at home again. We live about 20 miles from there but have already decided it's worth the trip to go again even if we don't have business to take care of in Gulf Breeze. I'm sorry I didn't get the owner's name, but the other fellow there named Daniel, was also superb in making sure that we were taken care of, happy with our meal and overall satisfied. Daniel made another chicken cutlet parm for another customer while we were there. It looked superb! I guess the owner is a good teacher. Anyhow, it's worth the trip to Gulf Breeze for the excellent service and food. The next time you're there, ask for one of Dan's...
