During my dinner at Shabo's Bistro, I had the pleasure of savoring their signature dish: the Herb-Crusted Rack of Lamb. From the moment it was presented, I was captivated by its aromatic allure. The lamb was perfectly cooked to a tender, succulent medium-rare, encased in a delicate herb crust that added a delightful crunch with each bite. The accompanying rosemary-infused jus was a symphony of flavors, elevating the dish to an unparalleled level of culinary excellence. Paired with roasted root vegetables and creamy mashed potatoes, every mouthful was a harmonious blend of textures and tastes.
The service was impeccable, with attentive staff who ensured that every need was met with grace and professionalism. They provided insightful recommendations and made the dining experience truly exceptional. The bartending staff also delivered wonderful service, crafting delightful cocktails and offering great suggestions.
The wine selection was equally impressive, particularly the Pessimist. This exquisite red wine, with its rich, full-bodied character and notes of dark fruit and spice, was the perfect complement to the lamb. It enhanced the flavors of the dish and added a layer of sophistication to the meal. For those who appreciate fine spirits, the Rough Rider Bourbon was a standout. Its smooth, robust flavor with hints of caramel and vanilla was the perfect finish to an extraordinary evening.
Special mention must go to Shabo, the owner, who is not only an amazing chef but also a wonderful host. His passion for fine dining and hospitality shines through in every aspect of the restaurant.
This dish, paired with the Pessimist wine and the Rough Rider Bourbon, is a testament to Shabo's extraordinary talent and passion for fine dining. It’s an experience that lingers long after the meal is over, making Shabo's Bistro a must-visit for any food and wine...
Read moreCame here for dinner with my family and really enjoyed the food. That being said, I was severely disappointed with the fact that our waiter kept on taking his mask off during the hour we were eating. I wanted to leave the minute I saw him bring our bread with his mask hanging from his ear however, because we were already seated and had ordered I felt uncomfortable doing so. The place was not busy, so social distancing was not an issue. The main issue was that someone handling food/drinks was walking around without a mask endangering the health of everyone around him. In the middle of a global health pandemic, this is unacceptable. As a consumer, I personally do not feel comfortable going to a business that does not consider the health and safety of not only their customers but also of their staff. If this issue only affected the person choosing not to wear a mask I would not care, but as this affects the whole community it presents both a moral and personal predicament. To the business owner of this establishment, your restaurant has great food but it is not great enough to endanger one’s life for it. My experience at your restaurant has taught to be wary and due to this fear I won’t be visiting your establishment again until better care is being taken. I hope you consider the seriousness of this feedback and that it helps you grow as a member of our community. Thank...
Read moreWe've patronized this restaurant for years and have always had good meals and good service. That's the only reason I'm giving them three stars in this review. Today was a completely different story. My wife and I ordered, received our bread/appetizers - then we waited nearly a half-hour for entrees. No visits from the waiter to explain why it was taking so long. Other customers came and went. Then the real fun began. I ordered Veal "Marsala" but received Veal "Parmigiana". I sent it back thinking it was someone else's meal. The waiter ultimately apologized and took responsibility for the error plus the delay. I accepted the meal made in error instead of waiting another half-hour for them to prepare the Marsala dish. The manager came out to the table, apologized and offered free dessert. She told us that the waiter was new and inexperienced. We accepted her offer, but while she was there, we asked for grated parmesan to put on our baked ziti. She told us the waiter would be right out with it. Guess what? He never brought the cheese. Ten minutes went by. Nada. He didn't even acknowledge the oversight. That was enough. We asked for the check, paid $93.00 for a meal that was ruined and left disappointed. If you are going to dine here then proceed with caution. Fine dining is an expensive proposition. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Gino's...
