I'm not going to lie, what keeps me coming back here is their food! Can't get enough of their complimentary salsa & chips, I have tried their burrito, which was eh, I have also gotten their steak & chicken quesadillas, also alright but what I have found out I love is their tacos! My favorites are the T&T signature, Shrimp po boy, and their cheeseburger.. delicious! I'm not a fan of spicy or pickles but I don't remove it from these tacos because it truly gives it their flavor! Today I substituted the cheeseburger for their January taco which was similar but better and more expensive of course, I got the Bacon double cheese burger taco, must try it this month before it's gone! We also have had the queso dip however think it's too liquid, we aren't able to keep any in the chips, we had tried a queso dip that it was for the months special and I believe it was much thicker and so much better, we wish that's how the appetizer queso dip was... the margaritas were okay, honestly probably only worth it when it's buy one get one free.. The service is why I can't give it 5 stars, the hostess are extremely awkward, multiple times when we walked in they just stare at us instead of greeting with a smile and a proper hello how many, other times they're standing there talking to each other not paying attention to people walking in, it's very rare when they actually place the menus and express that a server will be with us shortly. Our servers have always been awkward as well, most have no personality, besides taking our orders we don't see them again until they ask if we want dessert and the check, most of the work seems to be by the food runners who bring the food and usually we find ourselves asking them for more water, or napkins.. the only time we had a great server turns out she was here only for the winter break before heading back to college which was a bummer. The establishment is very spacious, lots of high tops by the bar, a lot of dining space inside and out, they have some heated lamps for outside for the cooler days/nights. One downside of the establishment is how loud the music is from next door south street, especially if you're sitting on the side where the wall connects. Overall we will definitely come back because of their delicious tacos and I suggest you trying...
Read moreGood food, nice server, poor management.
We went yesterday, Mckenzie was our server and she was so sweet. Definitely an asset to the establishment. Cant say that for the manager that was working at 2pm wearing a pink polo.
Our 1yr old daughter has a lot of allergies; peanut, soy & sunflower just to name a few.
Mckenzie was so amazing and made sure to ask & clarify with the kitchen MULTIPLE times what would be safe for our daughter to eat here.
Unfortunately all the food for our table came out except for my 1yr olds. Anyone with a toddler can tell you that this could be a recipe for some crying. She was asking for her food and understandably so became upset seeing everyone with food except her. Her and I walked around inside and outside to keep her distracted while the kitchen spoke with my husband keeping us informed of all the allergens.
Thank you so much to the guy from the kitchen who had to go back and forth informing us and asking us questions to keep our daughter safe.
My problem here was the poor management seriously lacking leadership. This place is technically a chain now with 3 locations. There should be allergen information readily available for the Host, Server and Kitchen for moments like these. Such a huge waste of everyones time to have to go back and forth into the kitchen when their management should have plans set in place for people with allergies. Its quite common these days.
Coming from the service industry myself as a former server and manager I was really disappointed in how this was all handled by management. Your staff deserve way better.
Never even spoke to the manager once, he spent time speaking with other patrons while I was distracting my daughter and then disappeared into the back and was not seen again.
Also, the watermelon habañero margarita...
Read moreI went last Friday to get a margarita n a meal, as i waited att the end of the bar to get a drink no one waited on me so I waited for a seat to open up as it did a gentleman with a fire fighter t-shirt on left I proceeded to that seat and asked the girl next to the seat is this open she replied yes as I sat down the bartender came over to me and said you can not sit here, I said why the guy b4 was sitting here he was waited on, she said that chair needs to go to the table behind me as I looked the table had people sitting there n did not need it. She asked the waitress to put it back n said I couldn't stand there either I said why she said u need to go to the end of the bar n the bartender will get a drink , I said I was there for over 5 minutes n no one waited on me. I walked away as I was shocked n frustrated, so I left n went next door to south street n got a lovely margarita n meal. As i left south street I stopped back in to let the manager know what happened to me n felt he needed to know. He was very surprised n upset n took my name n number n would call me the next day n make this right. As I today 3/29/23 he has not got back to me. I think that is poor management n caring about their customers. So sad n poir management of a restaurants Customers satisfaction is the most important in food service. I've been in the industry for over 30 years n wouldnever let a customer leave unhappy 🙁. I feel like the bartender did discrimination to me n did care to make a sale n tip. Why did she let the firefighter gentleman sit there n why didn't she tell him the same thing ? Very poor service n terrible bartender. Very poor n unprofessional service. The bartender shouldn't work in this industry with that type of service...
