Service would get a 0 if an option. Not busy when we arrived at 545 Friday night and were seated instantly at a 2 top. After waiting 15 minutes for service and drink orders we flagged down a manager. He promised us waters as he went to find waitress. Well waitress came and took drink order but said no Coors Light when my husband ordered after showing it to her on menu she said āokā so she left and another girl brought waters 1 minute after the waitress brought waters as well. Then returned 10 minutes later with drinks, which she still brought Bud Light and not Coors Light. My husband was already annoyed as we have been there almost 30 minutes and menus still on table. So we say we are ready. My husband said heād like the crab cakes appetizer, I order a chicken dish and she asked what sides, I said itās pasta and doesnāt have any listed. My husband ordered a beef dish with gnocchi to which she said they ran out āthis morningā they arenāt open in morning and have only been open a few days so he ordered beef tips dinner, she never asked how he wanted them cooked or anything. So now we sit there watching others get food people who came in way after us. After 20 minutes we asked same manager to check on food. About 15 minutes later 1 entree comes out, my husbands. Thatās it followed by a minute later his crab cakes (always bring apps out first) so we are sitting there like what the hell is going on they arenāt busy⦠finally Manager came by asked how we were ummm not weāll still waiting on another entree so my husband and I can eat. Not me watch him eat. So Manager takes his entree back to keep it warm. My husband said just box it up to go, heāll just eat Crab Cakes. 10 minutes after my entree arrived and I ate a little and asked for a to go box. The whole date night was a mess and ruined. They either opened too soon before training or the manager who should have been back by kitchen making sure what went out when out correctly was too busy standing by hostess station and welcoming people. At first it was amusing but quickly turned in to frustration. They need more help with wait staff training. For her not to know the menu is crazy. They need to learn Apps go out and you donāt bring entrees out until...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe went to the Oar and Iron a week ago, and it was wonderful. We had amazing service, and the food was excellent. It was because of this I chose to have one of my best friends birthdays there the following Sunday. We were sadly greeted by poor service, a kitchen that was fumbling of itself numerous times throughout our meal and a lack of leadership in the restaurant. They were so worried about allergies. They didnāt care about anything else. They screwed up numerous aspects of the meal, including not bringing additional sauces, not coming to ask about refills for drinks. They did not get the temperature of meat correct for two people out of the four and they did not apologize for this. However, they did take it off the bill after I raised holy hel,l itās a shame they want to act like their fifth Avenue, but they donāt want to project the level of service fifth Avenue restaurants project. At this point in time I would urge you to continue to go downtown if you want a wonderful atmosphere and find dining. They are falling short on fine dining in Northeast Naples, which is a pity because I had such high hopes for them. It will be a while before I return to this restaurant I will continue to patron Downtown Naples.
PS if you want a good steak, donāt go here. The steaks are thin I donāt understand why people want to make a steak thatās so thin. Itās hard to cook unless you want it. Well done. These owners just...

I knew I was going to write this review within the first five minutes of walking into Oak & Oar. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was exceptional. We were greeted by Will, who didnāt hesitate for a second when accommodating our large party of 12 ā six adults and six kids ā all with a warm smile and calm professionalism. It was clear right away that we were in good hands.
Our server, AJ, was equally outstanding. He navigated our group effortlessly and offered genuinely thoughtful recommendations for both food and drinks. His service was attentive without being overbearing, and his personality added a great touch to the overall experience.
Now letās talk about the food: every dish was fantastic. From appetizers to entrĆ©es, everything was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. What really stood out, though, was the quality of the kidsā meals. So often an afterthought at restaurants, the childrenās menu here was a 10/10 ā delicious, well-portioned, and clearly made with care, not just convenience.
Oak & Oar delivered not only a great meal but a genuinely welcoming and elevated experience for our entire group ā adults and kids alike. Will and AJ made us feel like valued guests rather than a burden, which isnāt easy to pull off with a dozen people in tow. Weāll...
