Slim Chickens — Restaurant in Florida

The server was quick, friendly and helpful. The table was clean and stocked properly. The drink station was mostly tidy, with some very recent spills that were promptly cleaned up. I had the Mac n cheese chicken bowl. The chicken was dry, and the Mac n cheese was not appetizing. Hubby got the chicken sandwich with fried pickles and fries. The sandwich was fresh, but not really tasty. Again, the chicken was dry, but the fried pickles made the bun soggy. Not sure how the chain usually addresses that, but if they don't they should. If they usually do, they didn't this time. The fries were yummy, however I hesitate to say I will be back just for good french fries. Sorry, I wanted a new fried chicken place. Also, and this is just my opinion, if corporate is listening, how ridiculous in this day and age for you to serve your deserts in pint sized mason jars with Lids and not offer ANY recycling options. That is ludicrous. Wasteful. And I'm frankly shocked. This bothered me, but I didn't knock off the stars, because that's a corporate problem not this location. I am just going to chalk it up to someone having a bad day… but this was my third time coming to this restaurant because I think the food is really good and fresh. But today I got every bad Attitude from each employee I spoke to. There are two lines that you can order in the drive thru. The employee that runs the outside lane that I was waiting in, was not paying attention, and I had to say “hello” for him to take my order. I sat there waiting as four cars in the other lane passed getting there order taken. The person in the car waiting behind me even backed up and went in the other lane. Then every encounter after that, at the window went wrong…. I paid at the first window and the lady at the window had an attitude shaking the receipt back at me to take. The. When I got to the second window to get my food, I spoke to the manager that looked like it didn’t give a damn about my disappointment. Honestly, I don’t think there’s anything different I could’ve done to get treated in a better way…. I’m not sure if...

This is the first and last time going to Slim Chickens on Clark rd. I ordered fried mushrooms, got severely ill within an hour of eating them. Vomited all day and night. I ate nothing else that day. Sent email to make them aware. Manager Tyler calls me and basically said there is no way it was the mushrooms. No way I got sick from the mushrooms within that time and he stated food poisoning takes 24 to kick in. NOT AT ALL TRUE. It could hit you within 30 minutes from consuming bad food for food poisoning to kick in. He pretty much called me a liar. I told him I wanted nothing from him and was only making him aware I got sick off the mushrooms and to check his product. He was very non simplathic nor took what I was saying serious, and only tried to cover his own a$$. This customer service is really up for concerns over someone getting sick after eating their food. Be careful when eating there. Will never recommend nor eat...
