To the owner You say they'll remake my drink for free, but that's not the problem. It's almost like you didn't read my review. The only time I had a problem with my drink (of the 3 times) was AFTER I'd finished drinking it AT HOME. Was I supposed to go back to the store and ask for a free drink after I finished the one they gave me because the last inch of it was loaded with coffee grounds? Yeah, what would that drink have looked like? And yes, I live close, but why would I want to get back in my car and drive back after I'd already finished my drink? Then I was charged incorrectly twice. Once was fixed bc I emailed corporate, once was not (bc I didn't email corporate? Maybe I should). THOSE are my three problems with my last three visits to this store. I won't be returning... At least not for a LONG time.
UPDATE: AUGUST 2024 CAVEAT EMPTOR!!! They will screw you at this store whenever they can.
Ok... Third strike, you lose. I ordered a grande nonfat caramel vanilla iced coffee, which is $4.95 on YOUR app, but you charge $5.25 when you order it at the counter. When I called after I got home, Sabrina said, "Sorry. That's our price vs corporate. I can't change the price for you." So if I had ordered the same flippin' drink at the same flippin' store thru your app, I would have saved $0.30.
It sucks bc this store is literally one block away from my house. Ok, I let the first time slide, especially since when I emailed corporate they took good care of me, but when they messed up again, I gotta say something here. First, most of you know I'm a veghead. I ordered their new pesto egg frittata sandwich and they gave me (and charged me for) a maple chicken sandwich. I caught it before I left and got it switched out, but when I asked if there was a difference in price, they told me it cost the same, so I walked out the door and basically got scammed for about $0.50, bc they do NOT cost the same. As I said though, corporate took care of it with an email. Good things I caught it, though. Then today, I ordered a venti caramel vanilla swirl iced coffee (OMG delish!) and they promptly served me a grande (in the drive-thru). This time they charged me correctly. Sadly, when I finished, though, I choked on half a teaspoon of coffee grounds (see photo) 🤮🤮. What a terrible way to finish a great coffee! It sucks bc this store is right across the street from my house. Am I going to have to drive 5 miles to go to another SBX when one is a block from my house? SMH. Come on, SBX, turn that staff over! ....... This place goes up and down with the friendliness of their staff, which seems to have a high turn over. I think I was told once it's a training store. Half the time the "hot" sandwiches are cold...
Read moreRude!!! I came here on Veterans Day last year, my second Veterans Day since I was medically retired from the Army. I was there to get my wife tea and a free coffee that a family member had seen advertised.
An older woman took my order and was both very rude and unpleasant. When I asked about the free coffee, she muttered, “it’s only a small” in a gruff tone. I said, “great, may I have one?” She repeated in a ruder, louder tone, “IT’S ONLY A SMALL.” I said, “I understand, may I have one please” and then ordered my wife’s tea.
When I got to the window to pay, another employee gave me the total and it seemed like a lot for one tea. I realized she’d charged me for the “free” coffee as well.
Now this may sound silly but the whole interaction really bummed me out. I’d never claimed a Veterans Day freebie and she made me feel awful for trying to take advantage of their advertisement. I was there to spend money regardless and can surely afford a coffee. The point is, my request seemed to upset the employee and she made it known to me.
I used to come here all the time but I have not gone back since and will not in the future. I don’t know if this particular employee was having a bad day or what but don’t ask for a free coffee on Veterans Day no matter what war you were in.
P.S. On an unrelated but fitting note, they failed to secure the lid on my wife’s tea and I spilled scalding water on my hand, twice.
This in itself is not reflective of the star rating. The rude employee earned that herself. Don’t come here. They...
Read moreSad to say and beyond disappointed that yesterday my latte order was wrong and did not taste right as I asked for my coconut milk latte to be sweetened with 2 packet of natural honey and instead that put honey blend syrup in it. I called to let them know and they let me know tomorrow they would take care of my latte. I also ordered a bacon Gouda and found upon getting to work that the bacon was fatty and undercooked(had to take it off it was completely inedible). I did not call and let the manager know this as I do not like to call and complain about things in the 1st place. Today I ordered the same latte I always order a gr coconut milk latte sweetened with natural honey packets and they let me know it would be taken care of. I drive off and get down the street to take the 1st sip and find out again it’s not what I ordered. Very sad and frustrating to go somewhere two days in a row(I do go to Starbucks& different location about3times a week) and get a latte that you don’t even want to drink. They made my latte with regular milk and I am not even supposed to have diary. A waste of my time and gas money. With the location being so busy and having to go into work I there again could not just turn around to get a...
