Terribly disappointed. I live 45 minutes from my nearest starbucks so I was very excited to be staying at my parents only 10 minutes from one. It was my first time leaving my newborn, I'm out with my toddler and I order my first ever waffle cone Frappuccino. I see a drink put on the bar and it's white and has a hair on it and I think to myself, well I'm glad that's not mind. Then I realize the last two letters are "Le" so I looked closer and realized it's my name. I asked the barista about the drink not having coffee and I guess for some reason the person taking the order wrote no coffee on it. So she takes my drink, the one that has a hair on it, pours it into the blender, adds coffee and pours the drink into the same cup with a hair on it. Having been a barista for over a year in the past I know this changes the potency of the drink because that amount will not fit in the cup thus forcing some to be dumped out. I asked for a fresh drink and she said it wouldn't be any different, I was like well either way there's a hair on it, could I please just have a new one. She takes it, goes to make me another drink and says, it's funny because no one there has hair like that (making it seem like she's accusing me of the hair). Mind you she has black curly hair and it's a black curly hair on the cup and I have blonde hair. And in that time another barista comes over to show me two Frappuccinos she just made saying that they're all that color excetera excetera, when it wasn't even the color I was questioning, it was the potency of the drink that I just ordered. I get my drink, it tastes flavorless, barely any caramel or waffle cone on top. Obviously I had annoyed them in some way even though I try to be as kind as possible about it. I've never had an experience like this at a Starbucks, always the best customer service.. And I don't want to go back there, because I don't want to deal with those two baristas again. I called to try to contact the manager, left my name and number but he never called me back. So I came on here to leave a review. Just so disappointing of an experience. I would have bought so many more drinks there on this 10-day stay but instead I'll just have the memory of the one. What's really sad is I grew up here and this used to be "my" Starbucks I'd go to before classes at USF, from the time this starbucks opened until I moved. I visit my folks often and am a true starbucks addict, so this was just so very...
Read moredon’t normally write reviews, but I have a lot to say about how disappointing this experience was. For years, this particular Starbucks was my go-to spot. The staff knew me by name. My order was ready the moment I walked in, thanks to mobile ordering. As someone who works remotely, I spent countless hours here on Zoom calls and video meetings—it was quiet, comfortable, and felt like a second office.
It wasn’t just the coffee that kept me coming back—it was the atmosphere. The staff were friendly, the environment was relaxed, and it truly catered to its regular customers. It was a space to kick back, be yourself, and connect with your favorite baristas. It felt like community.
Fast forward to today—Saturday, April 19, 2025—everything has changed, and not for the better.
After being closed for remodeling, I walked in excited to see the updates. What I found was honestly shocking:
There are no more straws, napkins, or condiments available for customer use. Everything is behind the counter. Something as simple as grabbing a napkin now requires asking a busy barista—just to wipe your nose or clean your table.
The layout? All the tables and chairs are practically gone. What’s left are tiny bistro tables that can barely hold a single cup of coffee.
I couldn’t even set up my laptop. There’s no space to work, no comfort, and no room to breathe.
The new seating arrangement forces people to sit on top of each other. It felt like sharing a booth with 12 strangers. Zero privacy. Zero comfort.
The staff’s attitude? Sadly, not what it used to be. When I expressed concern about the lack of usable table space, I was completely dismissed—no acknowledgment, no solution.
Starbucks, what happened? You used to be a haven for remote workers and people looking for a welcoming atmosphere. Now it feels cramped, cold, and corporate. You've stripped away everything that made your space unique and customer-focused.
I’m truly disappointed. This remodel feels like a move away from customer comfort and community—and toward efficiency at the expense of experience.
I hope Starbucks takes this feedback seriously. If your goal is to create a welcoming, functional environment again—please listen to your loyal customers. We want to come back. But right now, there’s nothing to...
Read moreDrive to the next one, it will save you time! Horribly managed! Repeated terrible experiences. When they have walking staff out taking your order, they don't seem to understand their primary purpose. They fail to close the gap after walking down the car line to take orders, leaving a huge space between them taking more orders and the car in front of them. Meanwhile, cars are piled up in the nearby intersection trying to get in there (and other places). Given that repeated mess, I went in the store on Thanksgiving to order a single hot beverage item. After 30 minutes, I still didn't have my drink, so I left without saying a word. Later, I was unpleasantly surprised to find they had charged me twice while reviewing my statement. It was clear they couldn't manage the mobile app orders, driveway orders, and walk in orders. There were dozens of frustrated customers waiting way too long for their orders. Instead of doing something about it, or saying something about it, they just kept taking more orders. I vowed never to go back. This morning, I waited in the debacle carline for another 10 minutes. When I went to place an order, they told me they could only take cash or the mobile app and sent me packing. Again, they didn't do anything to manage the situation (i.e. post a sign, have an employee tell cars as they pull in...). The last three visits to this Starbucks netted 40 minutes of wasted time, me paying for 2 Venti Pumpkin Spice Lattes, and me actually getting nothing. I strongly encourage you to take your...
