I used to like this place, but not anymore. No more free queso refills. The service is okay. They have good food, but horrible rules. What rules you may ask? Well they wouldn't let us in the store without a face MASK on. We were covering our faces with our shirts, and all the sign says is "Face Covering Required", so we thought it would be fine. But NO. We spoke to the manager (she came outside) and she clearly said that if we cover our faces with simply our shirt it is not enough, but if we were to make a 1-layer mask out of the same exact shirt fabric, she would have let us in. There's literally no difference between them except for the shape. Well anyway, we ended up waiting outside for about an hour in the pouring rain for our food. The total was way overpriced and the food wasn't even that great. That was a huge waste of money and time. Definitely never going here ever again, and I don't reccomend that...
Read moreMy family’s first visit to this location and very convenient home. For a Saturday night family outting, it wasn’t pleasurable at all. We just witnessed discrimination at its fullest. A woman was waiting for her order and was obviously disabled sitting in her car. We had ordered and ate already and ran into our neighbors chatting which took another 1/2 hour. The manager bluntly said they do not deliver to people in the car and rudely threw the money at the woman sitting in the car. She was so embarrassed and I feel so bad for her. I noticed she went next door to chic fil a at the drive thru. This manager should be fired!! How dare you treat anyone like that!!! You do not need to be in the service industry! Unfortunately we will not be back and will let our friends and family know the treatment you give your customers who cannot get out of the car because they can’t! Sorry not sorry for you Tijuana...
Read moreThis was the first time I have ever visited a Flats location. First let me say I was surprised, I'm not a fan on Mexican food but I feel I became one today. The manner in which you order is a little different than what I am use to but you figure it out pretty fast. The staff was awesome in answering questions and they did everything with a smile which is refreshing.. Our food came out hot and timely. Let me just say I ate every bit of what I ordered (flautas). The murals on the walls were tastefully done, and the choice of music was spot on. 90s and 2000s alternative, with a few pop hits in between. There is an abundance of sauces for every pallet, make sure you start from mild to hot because you might get a surprise if you think you can handle the heat. I will definitely be trying this spot again, maybe on a Saturday nite and see if the ambience...
