THAI STICKY RICE — Restaurant in Brandon

We’ve been here 4 times. We’ve noticed the quality is inconsistent, but always decent to very good. Portions at times are ridiculous for the price. Today we ordered mango sticky rice. We literally got about a half a cup of rice spread out into an oval shape with mango on top of it and it was $12. We were in such shock that we asked if this was the $12 portion. But the dealbreaker by far has been the waitress. She always starts off semi pleasant. She forgets most of the order gets condiments that are requested. Seems to get angry when she’s reminded nicely with a smile. always rushes us with the order and tells us the kitchen is very busy. We better put our order in right away. Every time we go, we’re the only ones in there and maybe one person shows up for an online order. she runs around out of breath, however, as though the place was packed. We were through our appetizers and our meal had arrived when we asked for our drinks for the third time. As much as she runs in half and puffs it still takes forever for her to finally bring whatever is requested in again there’s no one else in the restaurant. Today she insisted we order our dessert before we had even gotten halfway through our food. Getting boxes and paying for another 15 minutes. She brought a tiny box that was not even close to enough for the food we were taking home. From the moment the lady walked our table she was curt. As we ask questions about the menu she became impatient and had an attitude. They charge $11.95 for a vegetable soup filled with onon and cabbage mostly and had 1 limp broccoli.and it was very salty When we brought to her attention she became argumentative. She went to the kitchen and this large Asian man came to ur table with an intimidating attitude and told us that is how the vegetable soup is. He also said you don't have to pay for the soup and we do not want to serve you. We paid for the vegetable panang curry and it was the Same mostly cabbage 3 small stems of broccoli. The vegetables were over cook. We paid for the vegetabl panag. I had to finish my ice tea because they did not have a to go cup. The woman and the man stood a few tables away glaring at us. The man sat at the table cotinued to glare then pulled out his phone. This was the worse experience. My hubby apologize to them as we walked out the door because we are decent people. The vegetables are abundant in variety and cook to perfection.JASMIN THAI is very clean and has class.The ladies are dress in their traditional Thai clothes and it is beautiful there. Let me start by saying that this is by far the worst experience in a restaurant. Waited 20 just for someone to get our order . Then waited about 25 to get oir food. We order the appetizer sampler ( with no plates) and it was not good but it was edible. Ten minutes later we get our food. We ordered beef fried rice and the flat pasta with beef. The rice was extremely hard and tasted like burnt soy sauce. The pasta tasted like candy and the beef tasted spoiled. Now I understand we are humans and maybe it just wasn't there day but the fact that this lady didn't even come back to the table to ask how was the food or if we needed something else had me upset. Finally after another 30 min of waiting she comes back to give us the check and I told her that we didn't eat because of how the food tasted (which she can see that the plates were still full) and she just said that's how it's suppose to be. I said ok and proceeded to go pay when I notice she charged me both plates. I asked her to please remove it from the bill and that's when she started threatening me with the cops the cook comes out screaming. All I wanted was to pay for my drinks and the sampler that we ate.
