The pasta dishes are at the top of the price range for similar food in the area. Other restaurants have equally good pasta for a more reasonable price. The wait staff work hard and are very nice. The manager and the owner at this particular Starzz location are NOT customer oriented and are very rigid. We were in a group of 24 people. Our waitress was excellent. I ordered a large Greek salad. I did not have any olives on mine and it was served on a plate used for small salads. It was not mounded high, but flat. My friend ordered the same and she received a mounded salad on a much larger plate. Her order was filled about 20 minutes after mine. Thinking my waitress had accidentally ordered me a small salad I waited until I got my bill to see what she ordered. I was charged for a large. But the manager and owner would not change my bill to a small because I didnʼt say anything when I first got my food. First, the waitress was swamped and I was okay with having a small salad. Second, I could not tell the waitress my friends salad was much much bigger than mine because she got hers after I was half way thru mine. And again, I expected to be charged for a small, which was fine. The manager pretty much accused me of lying by saying that since I had eaten the salad she couldnʼt say weather I had received a small or large salad even tho she acknowledged that my plate was small. Got the same story from the manager. No customer service. And the pasta which was ordered by others at our table was nothing special for the price. Check their menu on line...
Read moreIt could have been good, but no, it was so bad that I have to inform anyone that is interested in a decent Italian restaurant, to stay away from here. Starting with the appetizer, we knew we were in trouble. The calamari tasted like it had been in the freezer way too long. It was flavorless chewy rubber. Now you may think it was overcooked, but the batter wasn’t close to being golden brown or even a light tan, so that wasn’t the case. My husband had the ”Chicken Parmigiana. The marinara sauce was way past its holding time. It tasted old and bland and the chicken was dry. My entrée “Mediterranean” pasta was to be served in an olive oil and garlic sauce, but someone forgot to tell the cook that. I received a bowl of pasta in water. It had so much water in it, there wasn’t much flavor left. I even drained some of it off and added Parmesan and pepper, but it was a lost cause. We were there at the beginning of dinner time, so there was no reason for the lack of fresh food.
We will stay far away from this restaurant!
The photo is a bowl of the liquid I drained off my pasta. There was still more in my bowl of pasta. The only reason I gave them a star was for the condition of the restaurant and the...
Read moreShocked and humiliated don't cut what we experienced. First was told a 10 min wait but more like 30. No biggie. The horrendous part came after we finally got to our table, where we waited another 15 minutes before anyone even came around to our table. The waitress taller in height with blonde hair looked me straight in the eye and said in the nastiest of tones, and shaking her head"oh it's gonna be a long time before I will ever get to you"! In a total shock, I simply smiled back at her and told my family let's go. My little ones didn't understand as we all got up and made our way out, amid the very packed restaurant where other patrons equally shocked as were more apologetic. I had a feeling that we weren't going to be served, and the waitress confirmed what I thought. I was hoping because we didn't meet the "demographic " was the reason she treated us so poorly. She made it clear either way she was not going to serve us. It's sad. I was a manager over at what were the Sanibel outlets, and ordered here frequently over the years and drove 45 minutes from home just because you guys make the best calzones. Never again. Food here is...
