#1 Wok — Restaurant in Florida

Good food.. BUT!! Lunch specials are way to expensive. $Like 10.50 Nothing special about that price. .

Plus what I went to order online it was difficult. It said it came with pork fried rice which I wanted yet they gave me an option to substitute that and everything was $1.50 to $2.50 for those options. I did not want those I want what came with the meal which was pork fried rice and you weren't able to just keep that. It said it was a required selection that just made no sense. So with all the frustration with the lunch special price and not being able to order online I'm probably just not going to order there anymore.

Update: I have ordered Uber delivery multiple times, my issue is that there seems to be no expo on the food that is to be delivered. Case in point twice. I have ordered the buy one get one free crab rangoon and I only received one of those orders and on a previous order I had only received one order of egg rolls of which I ordered two. I called and spoke to Mae, the lady on the phone. She apologized and told me that I could get them the next time or come out and get them now. I just wish they had some kind of check system. If she is bagging it up ready for an Uber driver to make sure that everything is in the bag. I just don't get it. I mean I spend $70 every other few Sundays for the food. You think for that price I would get everything that I ordered. I also agree something is up with the pork fried rice. It is bland. It used to have good flavor now it's got none. And this is...

"Asian Face Saving". Ordered takeout to pick up on way home from work. Restaurant 10+ miles from home. Despite verbal confirmation of correct order at counter, 1 of 2 dishes was wrong when opened at home, Szechuan chicken instead of black bean chicken. Cannot eat spicy food due to mouth condition with inflamed gums. Noted that receipt actually had wrong item followed by correction to correct item. When contacted about the error merchant was very rude, denied any mistakes, wanted us to come back although it was too far and a toll away, implied I was lying despite error on their own receipt and hung up the phone when I asked for a refund. This behavior is not acceptable in USA culture. When you make a mistake, admit to it! Please don't reward this behavior and purchase your Chinese food elsewhere. 2nd dish of Szechuan pork was bland, anyway. I recommend nearby Sakura, Shanghai...

WOW! This is hands down the most delicious Chinese takeout I’ve had in SW Florida, and they’re open til 9:30pm! I was on my way home late, and our regular place was already closed. Called #1 Wok at 9pm and they had my dinner packed and ready to go at 9:15. The whole team there was great and the food was AMAZING. Mu Shu Pork was the perfect balance of meat and Napa cabbage, the sauce was light, flavorful and bright. Shrimp & Veggie Fried Rice was fragrant and delicate, not salty or greasy at all. The only thing I added to it was a little soy sauce, and it was perfect! The shrimp was fresh and sweet, the veggies crisp and vibrant.

I’ve eaten at some of the best Chinese restaurants in the US, and this rivaled them all. What an unexpected gem!

This will be our new takeout place going forward for sure! Thanks for taking good care...
