I used to love this place but after today I will not be returning. I brought my whole family here for lunch today because from previous good experiences the food was flavorful; today on the other hand was truly disappointing. I and my mother ordered a total of 6 tacos and the meat on the tacos were extremely bland, like absolutely no flavor and the meat was over cooked and dry. My mom got all carne asada tacos but I got a carne asada and barbacoa and a shrimp taco and all of them had no flavor to it whatsoever and they were over cooked . My biggest joy with eating Mexican food is always the juicy flavor in the meats especially when paired with a corn tortilla. My sisterâs chicken nachos were okay but the chicken was also pretty flavorless (even though they said adobo was added to it). I ended up getting severely sick after leaving and threw up multiple times. Iâm just really disappointed because although our server was very nice and attentive (which is why I am putting 2 stars in this review and not one) with us and all of his tables, the food was not great at all. It was not worth the hefty bill I paid....
Read moreHonestly I was expecting more. The atmosphere was great. Along with the lovely senorita who took my order and made my margaritas while I waited for my food. Its the tacos. I got the steak ones. The steak was the typical chopped Carne asada you are seeing at most of the taco places. The tacos were soooo dry. And the shells were just raw flour tortillas.
That may be authentic way to eat them, idk. I like my tortillas hot. Don't get me wrong, I ate the tacos
We also got the chicken burrito. That got eaten and was "oh my god delicious" as per the other family member who ate it.
Also ordered was guacamole and cheese queso. Guacamole look fresh made and tasted perfect. Queso was a big hit too. She threw in some salsa too. The red was spicy, a green one was not so spicy, and anothet green one was tangy, vinegary. They were pretty tasty.
The margarita was nice. around $50 for everything + a tip.
I'd probably go back, maybe try something besides the tacos. I do love me...
Read moreI'm honestly taken aback by the low quality of food we were given and that I paid $60 for it - had it cost less (and I hadn't tipped an additional $10 on a pickup order) I would have just let it go. The guacamole was brown. Yes, I know avocado will brown when exposed to air. Add some lime juice. Give it a stir. It just looked incredibly unappetizing and tasted not a whole lot better. So much pico in it that while the brown color verified that it was indeed avocado, the avocado flavor wasn't there. I would have literally rather been told there was no guacamole than be given this. If the prices are high, you need to do better. My quesadilla was incredibly greasy, but it did have a generous amount of good barbacoa, so it was edible - and honestly, quesadillas can be greasy. Not the restaurant's fault. I cannot say the same for my sister's food - she disliked it so much she took two bites and threw it out. Just not an ideal experience. I'd hoped for better, because reviews were...
