Steak 'n Shake — Restaurant in Florida

An empty parking lot should have been a clue. The absolute worse Steak and Shake we have ever been to. Noone was in the dining room except for a couple of employees. We were informed that the order at a computer kiosk. Which wasn't very user friendly and the employees were no help either. Which should have been another clue we were not in a good place. Once we figured things out we placed our orders. (no thanks to the employees) We ordered combo dinners that came with drinks. I asked for a glass of 1/2 Sweet Tea and 1/2 Lemonade. I was told they had neither. So I decided to have punch (because I cannot drink carbonated drinks) to which I was told they did not have either. So I asked about bottled water. They went to get one and found out that they didn't have that either. The employee at this point just shrugged his shoulders with no apology or explanation. I explained that I paid for a combo with a drink. Once again the employee literally shrugged his shoulders with no concern or apology nor alternative. Our burgers were alright but the fries were cold. In all my years of being a Google Guide this is one of very few 1 star ratings that I have given. Go into this Steak and Shake at your own risk. If you are in management with Steak and Shake, know that this store is your worse nightmare. Someone needs to do something or this store is going to close soon. The entire time we were here there was not 1 other customer. I took pictures of the PR posters and the quality guarantee poster. Obviously the employees did not take these posters seriously. BTW This was not our first time to eat here but it has been probably about 5 years since we have been here and we had a good experience then but not anymore. Also we were there around 6:30pm. It looks like it was closing time...

This is the worst fast food place at this location ever!!! Every time we go they never get my food right and most of the time it’s only us and another couple in the restaurant, we go for breakfast. They are very under staffed, you always hear the workers complaining about how they don’t want to do certain things(their jobs), terrible service, food is always cold because I literally watch it being put on the counter waiting to be served and wait at least 8 minutes before we get the food, again only two couples-in the restaurant, today my sausage was so burnt It was as hard as a rock I couldn’t eat it, and my toast was as well, the manager was complaining that she had to be the cook because someone didn’t show up for work, customers don’t want to hear how miserable the staff is . Bad experience every time. I really don’t know how this place is still open. Maybe because people like me keep going back to give it a second chance, I am fed up and will never be going back again. I wasted too much money on this place that doesn’t care about satisfying customers , so many other places we can go that deserve our time and money, it’s just convenient because we live down the street and can take a morning walk on the weekends, I will be walking through the parking lot to Waffle House next door next time! Or better yet to the dunkin donuts , better service better food. I really hope your upper management fixes this place one day. I will never find out because I will...

Last time we will ever go here. This location used to be a great place to take the kids for lunch as a treat a couple of times a month. However, the last 3 times we have gone the service and quality have noticeably declined. This visit was the last straw. After waiting nearly 45 minutes to get food and watching multiple people leave because the waitress never served them, we received our food. 2 of the meals we ordered were wrong. We waited for a waitress to come back by for several minutes. Realizing the restaurant was short staffed we tried to make the best of it and eat what we were served. Unfortunately 2 of the burgers we got had what must have been 3-4 tablespoons of mustard on them. Clearly they were made in a rush an quality was out the window. After trying to get the attention of the wait staff again, I took both played to the front counter where the manager? Dustin said that I was being rude and that they were short staffed, no one would come in, and they were doing the best they could. I informed him that we would not pay for something we couldn't eat, and again he said I was rude and that I should leave. After this exchange our party of 4 left along with 8 or 9 other people who witnessed the event. I am extremely disappointed given that the restaurant has signs up everywhere claiming they are "fanatics" about customer service. We will...
