UPDATE We had the opportunity to visit again, several times and I am very pleased to say the food was absolutely amazing each time! I really appreciate the professionalism and great customer received. I simply can't get enough of the ribs! My husband has also tried their brisket which was so tender and flavorful. I am so glad we got the opportunity to come back. We have become new loyal customers! So we ate two nights in a row here last weekend because of how much we LOVED the ribs! The first night, the ribs were so tender and literally fell off the bone - perfectly seasoned that you didn't need to add BBQ sauce. Although, there is a nice selection of sauces if you prefer. We had been searching for so long to find great BBQ and felt we finally found our new go to! However, the second night, the rub on the ribs was so overwhelming that we could barely eat them. Still, the ribs were tender but the rub on top was so thick. It appeared that maybe they were done in a rush as the rub wasn't quite caramelized like the night before. It was definitely a huge disappointment to spend the money for two 10 bone rib orders and not get the same amazing ribs we got the night before. 😢 With that said, we did have great customer service and because we took our order to go, we didn't know about the second ribs until we got home. I came here on what should have been one of the happiest days of my life—my wedding day. My family and I decided to try this place for the first time. The atmosphere was overwhelmingly patriotic, with no diversity or representation of people of color, but we decided to give it a chance.

Once seated, we ordered and began enjoying our meal. In the middle of dining, an announcement was made for everyone to stand and sing the national anthem. Nowhere was it stated that participation was required in order to eat here. My family and I quietly remained seated, and after the song ended, an older white man approached our table and began to harass us about why we didn’t stand.

I politely asked him to leave our table so we could enjoy our meal in peace. Instead, he continued to press us, insisting he had served 24 years for “his country.” All of this was unprovoked, while my young children sat there confused and uncomfortable on what should have been a joyful occasion.

It was not only upsetting but also embarrassing—an experience my children should have never been exposed to. What should have been a special family moment turned into a painful reminder of the discrimination that comes with simply existing while Black in America.

We were the only Black family in the restaurant, surrounded by walls of portraits that did not reflect an inclusive America, but rather one that felt hostile and unwelcoming.

No doubt this place gets five stars! Their food is great and service is exceptional!! My husband and I were there for lunch today. The cashier greeted and introduced us to the menu with a genuine smile. After ordering, we started looking at the decorations and just how deeply they appreciate our service-men and -women and first responders. Michael came over and introduced himself just because he saw us looking at the walls and told us about the place. Somehow the cashier got my husband's order wrong, by adding extra sandwich. Michael and Cathy, I assume that they are managers, immediately apologized and got us a refund with no problem, plus they gave us the extra sandwich for free, even though we wanted to let someone on their staff have it. Cathy even brought over 2 of their amazing apple cobblers on the house, explaining their policies and philosophy. With all this fabulous hospitality, they don't even ask you a tip on your receipt (you know, even bakeries, burger, taco places "suggest" you tip them with a section on your receipt nowadays.) Michael said it's against their business philosophy. We were thrilled to have these service professionals and wanted to show our appreciation. We found a way to show our appreciation by ordering their amazing turkey for our Thanksgiving dinner, and we hand-wrote a tip on that receipt!
