Used to love this place, been coming here the last five years. Used to bring friends in. Used to spend money here, but now? I wouldn't stop in if I were dying of thirst. Here's the tea (or kratom, if you will): They FIRED the only good employee they had. You know, the one who actually remembered your name, cleaned the damn place, the person who actually knew your order, smiled like they meant it, and didn't treat you like an inconvenience for interrupting their phone-scrolling marathon. Yeah. Gone. Fired. Tossed like yesterday's kava. Who did they promote? Oh, just the former manager's girlfriend. Because that's what this place needed: more unqualified energy and romantic favoritism in the workplace. The owner? HA. Pretty sure they've transcended material reality. Either that, or they're just too busy snorting lines of matcha off a vision board titled "Passive Income." The place could be on fire and they'd be like, "Hmm. Sounds like a vibe." Long story short: this place went from cozy chill spot to ego-fueled dumpster fire with bad lighting and even worse management. I don't care if I sound biased. If you are a regular you know the events and plant life was all this employee’s ideas because he cared unlike the owner and former managers etc. I was loyal. I spent money. I defended this place when people said it was lame. Turns out they were right. Anyways not like the shop or owner will even read this because they couldn’t care less about this...
Read moreI got severely sick after drinking Kratom here. Threw up 8 times and have never felt so close to death. I wish the establishment would list a warning bc I had no idea these are the side effects. Furthermore I was given a “double” (large) on my second order and wasn’t even asked if I wanted a small. Pls be aware, this was one of the most traumatic experiences. “The most common side effects of kratom are:
Aggression. Altered mental status. Anxiety and irritability. Constipation. Delusion and hallucination. Drowsiness and sedation. Dry mouth. Frequent urination. Itching. Nausea and vomiting. Tongue numbness. Other serious kratom side effects include:
Cardiac issues, such as heart attack, abnormal heart rhythms and high blood pressure. Encephalopathy (brain disease). Hallucination. Hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid). Insomnia. Liver damage and liver failure. Rhabdomyolysis (A condition that leads to kidney damage when muscles disintegrate and release a protein into the blood). Respiratory depression (difficulty...
Read moreTerrible service and attitude all throughout. They’re always out of products such as the “kratom sodas”, or other drinks on tap. This is a consistent theme and never happened before when their was different management. Both Brandi and Ceasar were amazing, but I’ll be going somewhere else. I remember talking to the manager, and he…or she?….. I can’t even tell what they are… didn’t even know what time they opened on a Sunday. They had to ask a co worker to get that information. That’s really bad and quite frankly embarrassing. Hopefully the owner sees this and makes some adjustments, or changes in the positions. Also, stay away from the growlers as they overcharge you and don’t give you a rational explanation when you ask for one. Don’t take my word for it…come in and see for yourself. PS keep in mind most of the good reviews are from way back when the manager Ceasar was working, and they had a good team. Not from the current one they have. If you see a butch wo/man with a strange attire and glasses thats them. Very...
