Tacos Mi Rancho-Carrollwood — Restaurant in Florida

Let me start off by saying how much I love and appreciate the kind service they have here. The lady is very sweet and helpful, I love the variety of food offered. With that said, I reeeeaallly wanted to love the food. I really tried. However, the flavor in the tacos and burritos is lacking. The tacos were a bit dry, but I appreciated that they were double layered. It seems the meat is just missing that extra punch, maybe a little more fat and seasoning? It needs some extra love in the cooking! :) The consume sauce was alllmost there but tasted very watery, like it needs to be reduced down a bit more. I would've rated much higher if I could, and I may give another chance later on, but for now I was left feeling with not satisfying my full taco...

First time customer. I’ve driven past this truck hundreds of times, so I finally decided to try this place out. My order looked fresh and authentic, and the portions were generous- I could hardly wait to taste it! Sadly, upon taking my first bite, I was VERY disappointed with the lack of flavor. All I could taste was the high amount of salt on both the beans and carne asada- way too overpowering. I really hate writing these kind of reviews because I’m all for supporting locally owned establishments…but I definitely won’t be a repeat...

I got an order of quesabirria tacos, 2 pastor tacos, and chips and guacamole. I must say these may have been the best tacos I’ve had in Tampa. The tacos had exceptional flavor, the consommé was delicious, the chips were so crisp and tasty. The man taking my order was a very nice and sweet guy, definitely a hard worker. On top of that everything was actually very fresh and piping hot. The fresh jalepenos/chilis and salsa verde were 10/10.
