Today, as I was in my car, getting ready to hit the main road. While stopped at a light I found myself behind a Papa John’s delivery driver in the left turn lane.
Before even reaching the light, the driver approached it from 100 feet going, at least 10 miles an hour until we came to a complete stop at the red light.
Clearly distracted is the driver, even so that when the light finally turns green and the driver still has his foot on the brake a few seconds I decided I lay down on the horn. The driver then continues to stay there as the light was green and peered at me through his driver side rear view mirror. Then as the light turns yellow proceeds to go through the intersection, forcing me to run a red light.
Unfortunate for him he decided to do this while on the clock headed back to the Papa John’s store just a mile down the road so naturally, I followed him in and spoke with the manager who also appeared to be not too concerned with not only how her delivery driver was composing himself while out making deliveries, and returning back to the store but also citing that they use some sort of delivery app, which is the reason why the driver would be distracted while driving on the roads.
While I’m telling her this the driver is present and wants to try and intimidate me at the counter by just staring at me. I give him a look right back all the way up to my exit. I wasn’t scared at all. Just wanted to see what his rationale would’ve been acting like that while a huge papa John’s pizza delivery light sat above his rusted out blue early 2000s Audi. Then to do it while on the clock. Just bizzare.
Papa John’s? Is this becoming behavior of your delivery drivers and of your on site managers when approached from the public regarding poor conduct and punctuality from their associates?
I would be more upset if Papa John’s was a pizza that I actually enjoyed these days. Unfortunately it isn’t. I just wanted to share this in likes some coaching efforts and new training can be implemented for Papa John’s in the delivery drivers while out driving making deliveries and the impact that they have on the general public when...
Read moreIt sucks that I can't give this location a -10 for service and quality. This is the 3rd terrible experience with this location so now I will complain. I order from Papa John's at least 3 times a month and only use this location when my pizza is delivered. Tonight I ordered a large cheese pizza and 6 chicken wings. I called because I wanted my wings crispy (I do this every time because there is not a option online) and they lady who answered a said "hold on" the proceeded to place me on hold for 9 minutes. I mean wow! When she picked up, she hung up on me and so I called right back and asked her if she could modify my order, she asked what I want and I replied "do you know which order is mine" she replied "yes _(my name)" I asked to have my wings crispy. She replied that it would take an additional 45 minutes for delivery and then we waited an additional hour and 15 minutes. When our food arrived, they were asked to call before knocking so they don't disturb our baby and knocked loudly. Didn't follow the instructions that EVERY other pizza place reads and follows. Then gave us cold pizza and I kid you not soggy burnt unedible wings. I attached a photo of the wings. Y'all don't eat here. I will literally be contacting the corporate office about the service and food. Highly dissatisfied. This place is an embarrassment to Papa...
Read moreFew things are better than enjoying a pizza from Papa Johns while binging on anime or gaming. I remember one of my first times ordering from this spot, the delivery ended up being very late (45-60 minutes past estimated time). A few days later I got a letter from them in the mail apologizing, asking for another chance and providing a coupon for a free pizza. And I never even verbally complained about the lateness. THAT is customer service, and kept me around.
That is the only time I also had an issue with this Papa Johns. Typically their delivery time is very accurate to what they estimate. The food has always arrived warm and fresh, the drivers are always polite and greet me with a smile when I open the door. I can vouch that their cheese pizza, alfredo sauce pizza, oreo papa bites, cheesesticks, and garlic knots are all very delicious.
It's also entertaining to watch the papatrack sometimes. Even though it's purely for entertainment it's usually very accurate, and I hear the knock right after the car stops moving in front of my apartment. Good food, almost always on time, friendly staff, and great service. It's a bit pricey but the papa rewards program can mitigate that as anything you order counts towards rewards and rewards can be redeemed on anything, no...
