I am a regular at Sun Pearl and was shocked by the RUDE behavior I encountered on my visit today. Not sure if the woman was the owner or just who she was as I had not seen here on previous visits. If she is the owner perhaps she should stay in the back or stay home because she sorely changed my opinion of this business. The young ladies working the front are always very polite with customers.

I ordered a lavender milk tea, admittedly I did not specify I wanted my drink hot BUT the cashier also did not ask...She did ask if I wanted boba, which I said no! The order came out iced and I mentioned, sorry but I wanted that hot. This woman whomever she was shot me a dirty look mumbled something as she walked away. Before she went into the back of the store to correct my order she shouted something back I believe indicating it was my responsibility to ensure the order was placed correct. If the menu board only had lavender tea as and iced option and it was not also on the hot drinks side I would own the mistake accept the drink cold and move on with my day. However, because the store offers the same drink both cold and hot then no it is the order takers responsibility to clarify what the customer wants. Additionally, while I was waiting for my drink to come out correctly she chastised another customer for touching unwrapped product. Yes,a sign clearly says to ask for assistance with unwrapped products, however, you NEVER embarrass your clientele by pointing out the sign in such a manner that all other patrons in the store can hear what is happening. She was not polite she was condescending.

It was busy and I will just chalk this up that perhaps she was having a bad day, however, if I ever have a similar experience then I will take my business to Bambu which offers the same beverages and are only 500 feet from Sun Pearl. Shame on you for disrespecting your customers. Please try to do better...

The quality of the cakes and treats here is unique and refreshing. They taste good and because they are made using a different style of baking. Less sugar, different ingredients and so on.

I have three issues with this bakery however. The first being that they handle the dough without gloves. This is a sanitary issue and health concern. I personally witnessed this through the small window they have that looks into the backroom. In there you can see a preparation area on a table where the food is handled. I saw at least three distant people handling food (unwrapped and unpackaged) without any type of sanitary gear (gloves, hair caps, face mask, etc).

The second is the prices. Not as big as the first, but still a little up there. A small birthday cake, for example, is $40 to start. Custard and stuff is extra.

The final thing is that they are cash only. I can think of a couple of reasons why a place wouldn't want to take any type of plastic but it still puts the customer in an inconvenient position given that the vast majority of people don't carry cash...

RUDE as always! They certainly have an attitude of mistreating their customers. We were buying some pastries for kids one time. It was early in the morning and they were still wrapping some of them on the counter behind. The young guy at the register on purposely picked out the worst looking ones to me. The shape all messed up. I asked these are for kids and they really care more about the looking than the taste. The guy did not say any word but gave me an ugly look. He turned around and found a second most ugliest one and passed to me. The second visit we went there bought a lot for friends. Even I mentioned repeatedly I need a receipt he acted like he never heard it. And when he did finally give me a receipt he acted like this is a huge bother. I think he must be a relative of the owner who is the older woman in and out of the kitchen. So bad she never tried to correct him for his behaviors. Two rude behaviors in a row which convinces me that never go...

This was a very cute bakery that gave you the option of getting a tray for your baked goods but the selection was very limited. Most of the baked goods were wrapped in plastic bags and you can usually find those in oriental stores so I didn't see the freshness in that and wondered if they baked in house. They had a lot of cakes that were on display but no options for just a slice which I'm used to at other bakeries. This place was cute and the smells were great but it definitely did not feel like a bakery to me. It just felt like a store that sold baked goods from an outside source. The selections did not include any baked chocolate bread or twists or donuts and that's what I really look for in bakeries. As stated before, you can find the baked wrapped goods in the regular oriental store that also neighbored this little bakery and that makes it a miss for me.

Found this amazing, probably one of THE BEST Asian Bakery in Orlando. Hidden in Orlando Chinatown's small shopping square. They have a huge variety of different bread, over 50 flavours in total!!! Freshly baked daily, so they have limited quantities of each flavour. I went around noon time, and most of the popular flavours were already sold out by 2:00-3:00. So I definitely suggest going early if you want to pick up different breads I bought the black sesame mochi bread, and the taro pork floss bread to try out! Absolutely loved the mochi and rich black sesame paste filling inside. I microwaved the bread for 30 sec, and the mochi became softer yet still chewy and delicious melted in my mouth! So sad that the taro mochi bread was sold out by the time I got there, but definitely gonna become a regular here to try out more! Black sesame mochi bread - $2.00

I came to the store to check it out for the first time and probably tried to buy some breads. The breads and other bake goods look good. However, they seem to be a bit pricey especially when you compare those in the next door supermarket. They do have a lot of varieties here. However, I found that they only accept CASH. Too bad that I don't normally carry much cash with me. Who in the the world only accepts cash except for one and only one reason that I don't want to mention here. Cash is dangerous. I have been to places that accept credit cards only, no cash. I understand that you have to pay some fees with the credit cards but given the price of the goods, the store can more than able to afford that. I am sure you will have more customers if you accept credit cards or contactless payments. Please adapt to the 21st century.
