Edit- they reached out on Facebook after my review there and simply said they were going to look into my concerns and get back to me, then crickets. Nobody ever got back to me weeks later. So, reading the other reviews of people with complaints, and no follow through for them either, it seems like a gamble to eat here. They don't make efforts for problem resolution. Things go wrong, mistakes can be made, because after all, we're all humans doing these jobs. However, I've always believed that how a business handles a concern/ complaint is a true reflection of how well they care for their reputation and customer base. I don't think my patronage is valued here, and if you scroll down a bit, you'll find several others who never do much received a verbal apology for things. I understand there's another sushi joint on the island. I'd recommend going there.
I called ahead to ask if they could accommodate food allergies and special requests. Emphatic "yes we can do that!" I then ordered online so that there would be no confusion- if it's in writing in front of their face, they can't say they didn't hear or understand something, right? I specifically detailed in the notes, where it explicitly prompts one to list special instructions, "including food allergies". Halfway through my meal, I'm swelling up, getting a migraine, wheezing, the works.
I did due diligence by 1. Calling ahead and verbally confirming they can accommodate my food allergy, 2. NOT providing a phone order, but a written instruction on what to avoid, so there was no communicating barrier, misunderstanding, or forgetfulness to deal with, 3. Selected "refund if not available" rather than "allow establishment to swap with their own recommendation" so that a slip-up would not occur that way, 4. Provided my contact information for any wisdoms or clarifications needed.
I paid over $70 to get 'poisoned' and now a copay on an epi-pen.
Would absolutely...
Read moreFirst time coming here and we were excited to try somewhere new. Walk in and the AC is not working. I got the shrimp udon noodles with soup and my partner got hibachi lunch special and we both got Philly rolls. I found that my plate was tasty however there were SO many veggies on top. When I picked them all off I barely had any noodles and maybe 8 pieces of shrimp. My partner and I agree that the portion sizes were NOT worth the price! We decided to split the bill and our waitress was unable to split it by what we actually ordered. For example: my check should’ve had the shrimp udon Philly roll and a water on it but it had the shrimp udon and a Pib (my partners drink). My partner was charged for his lunch special and two Philly rolls. Both totals came out to around $30 so in total $60 for TWO PEOPLE! Server was nice but very quiet and I couldn’t hear her very well. I wouldn’t recommend this...

It was an up and down decision.
We ordered through door dash. And we was parked in front. The order took longer than it should. But there was only 2 people working.
As far as the food. My husband loved his salmon. Sushi didn't have any flavor. Kind of bland.
My poke bowl was good. But the problem was the portion.
Mines was 20 dollars and my husband was 20 dollars.
Im pretty sure the salmon cost way more than my bowl to make. And i paid for extra meat. Ill say about 4 shrimp cut in half. About 2 sticks of crab cut into 3 and maybe a table spoon of spicy salmon. Did not even measure out to the portion of salad and rice. Very disappointed. The taste and the sauce really good.
They just need to change there portion size on there poke bowl. Im pretty sure they triple amount of money on it.
Really don't know how to handle...
