Whataburger — Restaurant in Florida

EDIT I ENDED UP THROWING UP ALMOST EXACTLY 6 HOURS AFTER EATINF HERE, MY HUSBAND WAS ILL SHORTLY AFTER ME. We all had chicken strip meals, my kids were the only ones to not touch their chicken and were the only ones to not get sick.

Whataburger corporate offices...please terminate the franchise agreement for this location. Please.

I'm from Texas, grew up with Whataburger, never ever had bad food from any location. We were on our way back home to the Savannah area when to my surprise I saw the sign for this location. We should have just walked out as soon as we walked in, but I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. We were there around 6:30pm on Sunday the 17th.

dining area disgusting, almost every table dirty, trash so full the swing flaps would not close.

1 out of 2 bathroom stalls was horrendous, feces every where.

out of Texas toast.

sweet tea tasted like something you'd be served in a northern state lol did not taste sweet enough to be Whataburger sweet tea.

chicken strips were bitter from being over cooked and old.

THEY KNOWINGLY GAVE US COOOOOLD GRAVY, AND CLEARLY SCRAPED THE LAST TINY BIT IN (see pic, that is exactly how it was given to us, two cups exactly like this, we were missing a third gravy for my kid's food presumably because they were out). When I went to the counter to show them that the cups had almost no gravy and that it was cold the guy said "oh yea I'm making more right now". Five minutes later we finally got some fresh, but only one cup filled halfway when we were supposed to have three.

The rain poured silently as I walked from my very close-to-the-store parking spot into this orange fast food joint. The distant claps of thunder were audible in the distance from the storm Outside, only streetlamps shining on the trees and gas station next door were visible. Walking inside, I rubbed off the soles of my shoes on the carpet in hopes of not slipping. Upon stepping on the tile, my shoes did slide, but I did not fall. Looking at the restaurant I was inside, I noticed I was the only customer. I walked towards the counter and a very friendly lady with blonde hair welcomed me. After pausing for a moment to decide on what menu item I would purchase, I stepped forwards and requested the #4 with an extra beef patty. The lady happily rang it up for me, and she even upsized my drink from a medium to a large with no charge, which was very nice of her. I chose my seat and sat, waiting, for about 6 minutes. The lady proceeded to bring the meal out to me. Post-setting the tray down, I tried a fry. It was mildly cold, but it didn't effect me that much as it was still edible. Trying a few more fries, i realized the fries were extremely salty and were perhaps irritating my lips. However, I was still willing to try my burger. It only had one patty, for the lady had accidentally rang up "one extra cheese patty" rather than beef. I know not whether this was her fault or not, but it didn't matter and I didn't want to bother the employees. The burger was good. I then ate a few more fries and threw my trash away. This is the BEST restaurant I have ever eaten at! Also I started working here and they are CLEAN, all food is made to order too. The food is FRESH and the restaurant is inspected hourly down to the smallest detail by two managers. Their are always friendly managers to help the junior workers like me. They have treated me like family the whole time, even when I was late because my fiancee almost died😢 One of the managers Austin talked to me and honestly saved me from a really bad day, I was close to losing my mind, he has been so helpful and kind to me, he always lifts our hearts and motivates us at work 🙂 The store manager Jonathan gave me chance to work here and I'm very grateful😊 Ana a manager in training is so sweet to us and detail orientated. Also my grill manager Zacheri is very patient and nice to me when I mess up, he makes working here fun. Erin is a blast to be around and fun (she taught me drink station) Clearance & Mason the other managers are always their supporting me and make coming to work a delight. Brittany the shift manager is amazing even handling the lunch rush hour with grace and NEVER lets a bad burger 🍔 get past her😆 she does her job so well while at the same time being the most pleasant boss I have ever had.
