I went here for breakfast. The store opened late (8:08 instead of 8). I walked in, sat down, and placed a mobile order. After I placed my order and waited for about 5 minutes, another customer came in and was told they were closed. The manager then told me they were closed. I said I had already placed an order and was waiting on it. She told me she didn't care and they were closed; that I wouldn't be getting my order. So I asked for a refund. She told me to get it through the app. I told her I used the Taco Bell app (if you don't know, stores are supposed to issue the refund for orders placed through the app). I infirm her of this and she denied it and told me to leave. I reiterated that the law states that if they took my money, I'm legally owed either the product I purchased or a full refund. She refused. So I asked for the owner of the franchise's phone number. She refused. I said ma'am, you're obligated to give me the phone number of the owner of this franchise if there is any issue that has not been resolved, especially one where I have been wronged legally. So she said fine and went back to get it. As in waiting, a guy who actually is on the phone with the owner at that time comes up and starts helping me. He actually did a great job of handling and resolving the situation. As I was talking to him, the same manager from before comes back and describes what I'm wearing. She then hangs up the phone and tells me the cops are on their way because I was harassing her. I said, "ma'am, I am well within my legal rights. I have not harassed you. If anything you have harassed me by raising your voice and insulting me. But this gentleman is resolving the situation." He then tells her to ring up my order and issue my refund. She tries saying she doesn't know how, she's too busy, etc. He then firmly told her to ring me up and issue my refund so that I could leave. She then insults me saying, "I can't believe you. All of this over $5?" then she threw my refund at me. I took it, grabbed the receipt, and politely said, "thank you, Rita." She then explodes, "my names not Rita, you idiot." I then apologize and simply stated she wasn't wearing a name tag, she never offered it, and she never told it to me when I asked; so I just read it off the receipt. Then, as I'm putting my refund in my wallet, she starts yelling at me to leave her store, I'm not welcome there, don't ever come back to HER store, etc. She continues yelling at me the aforementioned statements as I'm packing my stuff up. I apologized and said I'd gladly leave once I put my stuff back in my back pack, despite her yelling at me the entire time. Once I packed up (it took me literally 30 seconds) I went to leave and the manager left the counter. I tried to leave but was locked in. As I approached the counter, I said, "excuse me ma'am. I'm trying to leave to comply with your request, but the door is locked." She ignored me and just walked away. I had to ask the associate if she'd let me out as I didn't want to unlock the door myself. She was kind and said she would. She even wished me a good day. The two employees were really nice and great throughout this situation. However, that manager needs to be retrained or something as her customer service skills are not at where a manager should be. Yelling, insulting, belittling, swearing, etc at a customer who simply wants the refund they are legally entitled to is no way to treat a customer. As I complied with all of her requests, with exception to where I had legal rights to decline her request, I will continue to do so and comply with her request to "never come back...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had a terrible visit today and would like to be contacted by someone regarding how I was treated.
I visited this morning and ordered in the app, customized in a way I wanted. When I picked up my order I found that 3 had been made incorrectly. I went back to the drive thru and tried to explain what the problem was. The druve thru person was so rude and kept saying, "This is because of lettuce?" and demanding to know the names of the items that were made incorrectly (I didn't know the specific names).
I am a person with autism and severe anxiety over confrontation. I can't just "pick the lettuce off." I order the in the app to avoid confrontation or having to discuss my order with anyone. I order in the app because I want my order to be correct and made the way I request it to be made.
The last few times I have ordered from this location there were problems. They don't have tea, they put tomatoes on my items, etc. But today was the worst. After this experience, I had an anxiety attack and sat in my car and cried for 20 minutes because of how rude they were over THEM making a mistake. I didn't order it incorrectly. I tried to show them on my phone how I had ordered each item, but they refused to look. She said it didn't come that way on their screen.
I'm not sure where the disconnect is from when I order on the app and they see it on the screen. I hope it gets resolved. I don't want to visit here anymore because of what happened.
I felt belittled. Sure, maybe a normal person would just "pick the lettuce off" or eat the wrong sauces and go on with their day. I spend money and I want my food to be made correctly and I don't want to be made to feel like my request to remake the item is an inconvenience. What is an inconvenience is customizing an order and having it made wrong so that I have to sit there getting it made correctly while someone says "this is all about lettuce?"
The way I was treated, as a person with a disability, was totally unacceptable. I used to enjoy this location and the people who ran the drive thru, but after today, I don't want to come again. It was just so rude and a total lack of understanding or care for a mistake made by...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI always enjoyed Taco Bell because it had a great value, excellent customer service, and a friendly atmosphere. I used to eat at a Taco Bell 3-4 times a month. However I'm noticing not only the prices are rising (just like everything else) but the portions are getting smaller. The employees still do their job but it seems like they are "somewhat annoyed" that you are ordering in person (not with a phone app or at the kiosk) and they have to deal with you (as if we are inconveniencing them). I don't necessarily blame the employees as this younger generation had become a product of the way society is today but the corporation could do something about the value/portions. It has gotten so expensive now that for $2-$3 more dollars more (plus tip) you could eat at a real Mexican restaurant (better quality products, bigger portions, table service, and a fine dining atmosphere). The product portions have gotten so small, you now have to order 4-5 items because just a burrito, taco, and a drink just doesn't fill up an adult anymore. Sadly, I only eat at Taco Bell now when I'm really hungry, don't have the time to wait in line for a custom made deli sandwich/Chinese take out, and want to eat healthier than McDonald's or a...
