Tacos El Amigo — Restaurant in Ensley

Pretty good taco stand. Generous portions of meat and veggies on the supreme tacos. Had three tacos and what fell off of them while eating would easily have made a fourth. I had two al pastor and one lengua . The lengua was by far the better tasting of the two. The wife had a carne asada , Al pastor and a campenchano taco. Her picks of best in order were the campenchano, carne asada then the Al pastor. The Al pastor looked really good but lacked in flavor. The red and green salsa served on the side were great. You could really taste the roasted pepper in the red sauce. The green sauce had avocado and a nice heat to it. What really tied everything together was the pickled red onion with radish. Great customer service! I’m a huge taco critic I’m very specific on the tacos I like and I’ve only liked the taco truck off Davis highway till this place opened and I tried it and the tacos are way better then Davis highway!! Like these tacos are so good!!! They have odd hours so some times they are open some days they are not but I try to come any time I see they are open! I love the tacos here also they actually give you a decent amount of meat!...

Been a few times since first post. Service has gone down hill. Food is good and fresh. Just don’t understand why or how two groups of tables can order food after me and get there food before I did. Just four tacos to go was all. Not happy and won’t be back. Better to call in or eat in. 5/26/24
