The Big Apple Delicatessen

At the deli and it’s hit or miss as usual. The food is always amazing but service leaves much to be desired…. Waited for the place to open and was not greeted, customers who were also waiting before us walked out immediately . Once we approached the counter a man told us he does not know what to tell us except there is no waitress, he doesn’t know. We asked if we could have coffee and he said ok. We then had to get up and go to other tables to look for cream. When a server did come in and we asked for a couple of minutes more it was close to ten minutes before she returned. Never offered her name just asked what we wanted to order. I asked for a refill of my coffee and got it but for the second time had to go check other tables for cream and sugar, there were no napkins on the table or in our silverware envelopes. When I went to my silverware, they were dirty…. Verry poor experience! Went to the bathroom at 8:45 am there was no toilet paper in the ladies! I am a retired hospitality manager and this is an embarrassing representation of management and ownership. My husband had to leave for work and had to wait a while for the check and a box. Only then we’re we asked if everything was ok? The three stars are for the food. All else was embarrassing.
