Barmeli was great. I had made a reservation and the table was ready upon arrival, which is always appreciated. We ordered a few appetizers to start and they are meant to be shared... but small size. Grilled octopus, stuffed grape leaves, hummus and also some boquerones (fresh anchovies). All nicely prepared and accompanied by grilled pita bread. Everything was really fresh and nicely seasoned but I would also have to say .... nothing outstanding. As the night continued we ordered grilled salmon, rack of lamb, grilled steak and fries, whole roasted branzino and slow roasted leg of lamb over orzo pasta. Worth mentioning is that the lamb chops is one full rack which is not common, very nicely grilled and cooked to perfect medium. The Branzino was also nice and tender, still juicy ... not overcooked. I would say that the best part of Barmeli is actually the ambiance.... it is a happy place, live music, great lighting and lots of wine. The restaurant vibe is what makes this restaurant a hit. Service is a bit slow but nothing that would drive you crazy and it makes up for it in friendliness. I would come back to Barmeli and bring friends... I'm sure it will be even better next time.

I’ve heard some great things about this restaurant and decided to give it a try tonight for some light apps for date night. To begin, the restaurant is gorgeous on the inside, the low lighting definitely gave the interior a romantic feel. Both waitresses greeted us and because the restaurant wasn’t too busy they gave us an option of where we wanted to sit. We ordered a glass of wine each and had 4 apps while we chatted. We ordered the hummus, prosciutto wrapped dates, escargot and the stuffed grape leaves. The hummus was clearly homemade and delicious - served with a ton of warm pita bread. I haven’t had grape leaves in the longest time and I was really looking forward to them and they did not disappoint. The dates were also super delicious! All and all I would love to come back to this restaurant and try some more food! 10/10 recommend

This amazing place is a hidden gem. The menu is diverse with many mostly Greek dishes, but it's not your typical Greek joint food. There's a great mix of mezze fusion and traditional dishes. The quality is exceptional. I've never had a less than stellar dish at Barmeli. They also have a very thoughtful and reasonably priced wine menu with several Greek options. We went with a group of 6 and ordered 12-14 tapas to share along with a few bottles of Greek wine. Everything was excellent. Second visit was just as great. Now, we dine they're regularly. The ambience, especially on weekends, feels like you are in Europe. The Spanish guitar player adds to the character and it's not too loud for good conversation. Service is prompt and friendly. I would 100% recommend to others and always look forward to my next visit.

I stopped in on a Friday evening seeking a more laid back and cozy experience outside the norm of a typical Miami wine bar. No reservations did not disappoint. The small bite food plates were impressively delicious, the prosciutto wrapped dates were a pleasant surprise. The lamb and beef meatballs were loaded with spices and flavor, they could be less well-done but that may have just been the late hour of my visit less than hour from their closing time. The wine selections were small but great and I found perfect options to pair with each plate. Small is not bad, it can mean you'll get a new bottle pour rather than something that's low quality or been open for days. I plan to return to try their other food options soon.

My boyfriend and I love this place. Cute for dates. Good wine selection, delicious food. We have gone several times, and the best they have is their live music on the weekends. However, sometimes it can get very loud inside. Food: I will recommend their octopus and go with their recommended wines, never disappointed. Their hummus selection is great, too. Plates are small, so it is a good idea to try different ones and share Wines: great selection with decent prices Ambiance: small location, we really live to eat at the bar. It is always crowded so make a reservation

Had the lamb chops and a bottle of Fleurie. Absolutely delicious meal - along with appetizers of ham croquetas and a Greek orange/olive oil cake for dessert that was absolutely mind blowing. Truly, otherworldly lamb chops. The service by Ms Meli was exceptional, and I only have amazing things to say about the vibes and atmosphere. It's exactly what I needed tonight. Can't recommend this place to you enough, looking forward to coming back time and time again!!
