Extremely Disappointed – Please Read Before Booking
I had a very disappointing experience at Skin De La Mer with aesthetician Ekaterina Kostyleva. I visited the clinic earlier this year to get a subtle refresh just a little Botox and top lip filler to enhance my natural look. I clearly communicated that I only ever do a small amount of Botox to lift my brows and smooth lines, and asked specifically to avoid duck lips. I even showed her reference photos.
To my surprise, without thoroughly assessing my face, Ekaterina immediately recommended full-face Botox. That felt like an upsell rather than a personalized consultation. I didn’t see what products were used, no units were discussed, and I wasn’t shown any packaging something I’ve always been given transparency with at other clinics.
After the treatment, something felt off right away. My top lip looked uneven and like the duck-lip which was exactly what I asked to avoid and instead of softening my lines, the Botox actually created more on my forehead and on one side of my lips. She said to give it 10 days to settle, I was so embarrassed to even go to work!
I messaged the office on Instagram within 3 days. The receptionist was so rude and unhelpful. I was told Ekaterina was on vacation, even though she had told me to return for a check-up within a few days. When she finally returned and I came in for a follow-up, nothing had improved. She added more Botox (again, with no explanation of what or how much) and instead of adjusting the lips, she dissolved them, again something I was not fully informed about beforehand.
After that visit, I still saw no improvement to my forehead which remained creased and uneven, and my lips were back to how we started, and left uneven. I contacted the clinic again, asking for a partial refund, as I no longer felt comfortable returning. Despite multiple messages, the team refused and kept pushing for me to come back, which I declined.
I’ve had Botox and filler before, and never anything like this. There was zero transparency, minimal care, and very little regard for client satisfaction. I will be submitting formal complaints to the DBPR and the Small Business Administration, as I believe no one else should have to go through this.

Read moreThe establishment is quite lovely, immaculate, high end products and state of the art equipment. Janna (owner) & Lianna took care of me. Janna gave me a fabulous facial and facial massage for regenerative purpose. She is super attentive. It’s obvious she loves what she does. She took her time with me. Very detail oriented. It was heavenly. Lianna gave me my first sugar waxing! What a cool experience. I did my entire face. The product is 💯 % organic… made from sugar and lemons 🍋!!! I cannot have the typical hot wax procedure as it causes me to break out.
My skin is perfect. Not one blemish 6 hours later.
