The Brown Bag Eatery — Restaurant in Florida

After reading all the reviews we were excited to order from The Brown Bag Eatery. We were very hungry and ended up so disappointed. I spent $50 and ordered the Nachos, Beach Bread, Quesadilla, and 12" Turkey Sub. I paid 3.50 extra to get the Brown Bag Potatoes that were greasy potatoes with no toppings like we were told it would have. The nachos were dried out with cheese and beans no sour cream or salsa or anything to add some flavor. The Beach bread was lots of cheese and tomatoes which my daughter ordered no tomatoes on it. The sub bread was dry and I ordered it with vinegar and oil and salt and pepper with everything on it except for jalapenos. The Sunflower Market has a much better Sub hands down. We didn't even open the Quesadilla yet! I will never go here again and would not recommend it to anyone. I'm not sure who is doing the rating but consider your options...

I must say this place almost got everything right. I ordered the Hot 1/2 Italian, the only complaint I have is that it is preferable (to me at least) that lettuce on a hot sandwich should go on post cooking. I may be wrong but it seemed awfully limp to have been placed on after heating. Yet it tasted perfect none the less. The sandwich came w a bag of chips, I was unaware of this and they gave me sour cream & onion which i like just fine but someone else may not. I also ordered a delicious bowl of fresh fruit and potato salad which was pretty good as well although its not really my taste. The tea tasted like the tap water so points were lost there. On the up side the service was great. The person who took my order over the phone was nice, and the driver as well.

Sorely disappointed. Borderline angry. It's a habit of mine to leave good reviews or say nothing at all. But this behavior is unacceptable! Today (Aug 25, 2018) I ordered 2 sandwiches for delivery. BLT was listed on their menu at $6.95 and roast chicken listed as $7.95. They charged me $11.00 for each of them! I would have refused delivery if they hadn't already charged my card $23.32. Assuming the $1.32 is a tax (assumption required since is not shown) I was upcharged over 32%!!!

Even as disgusted as felt, I still tipped the driver fairly. She agreed the prices were listed wrong, apologized said she will bring me free brownies next time. Sadly, there will not be a next time... I have pics of their menu and of my receipt I will upload here if allowed. What a terrible...
