I ate this back in September and nothing about them is sticking out to me regarding the taste, I however do remember having a bad experience. I’m not too fond of chain restaurants and Rib City reminded me why. I always call in orders because I hate waiting for food. I get there and the parking lot is deserted, not a car in sight. Not a good sign. I get inside, dining room also empty. I go to the counter to pay for and pick up my order and it’s not ready. Mind you, there’s no one else in the restaurant. After finally getting my order, something tells me to check my order prior to leaving. I check it, they forgot my baked beans. So I bring the entire bag back inside to let the girl at the counter know I didn’t receive my beans. You would have thought she was harvesting the beans herself and that she cleaned, cooked, and packed my bag herself with the amount of resistance she gave me to actually get them. I finally receive the side of beans that I paid for and I leave. I get to my location ready to tear into my food, there are no utensils in the bag. With the amount of time that I had to wait for my call in order, while they had an empty restaurant, NOTHING SHOULD HAVE BEEN WRONG WITH MY ORDER. Would I go back, no. Would I go to another location in the chain, no. Would I recommend it to a...
Read moreMy son and I have been coming here since we first discovered, it probably 20-plus years ago and have hardly ever been even slightly disappointed in the food and service. He loves the cheese fries and gets them as an entrée every time and I love the chicken tenders hot and almost always get those too..with the homemade blue cheese dressing. I guess you can say we're creatures of habit! LOL of course we've tried other things and love them but when we come to Rib City we almost always get the same thing. Oh yeah we always get the fried okra too, with the spicy ranch dressing. Their dressings are thick and rich and all homemade and so so good. The blue cheese dressing has just the right amount of chunks of blue cheese in it. Yummm! I can't even begin to tell you about their baby back ribs. They are guaranteed if they don't fall off the bone they'll replace them but I've never had to worry about that. So good. By the way, when you get the chicken tenders go ahead and get the pound order instead of the half pound. That way you have plenty to eat for dinner, and then wonderful chicken to cut up and put on a chicken salad the next day. Pay the extra $0.75 and get another dressing. It's worth it to take home. You'll regret it if...
Read moreThese good reviews have to be fake. This is absolutely, without a doubt, the worst BBQ place I’ve ever eaten. I started with a brisket sandwich. The meat tasted like it was boiled or cooked in a crockpot. I’m not kidding. They must keep it warm in water. It was that very light grey, you only get when something is cooked in water. Chewy, tough, with zero flavor. One bite and I asked the waitress to take it back. It was that bad. So, I tried the pulled pork. Even worse! Chewy pulled pork, that was definitely made in a crock pot. The only way you get any smoke flavor is from drowning the “meat” in their liquid smoke flavored BBQ sauce. I covered the sandwich in the bag cole slaw, and the “homemade” Velveeta shells and cheese, then I still only choked down half. By far the most garbage BBQ place in southwest florida. I have no idea how they stay in business serving that mess, but there are several locations. Stick to mission BBQ. I...
