I have reviewed this particular Perkins Restaurant before and gave it one star. If there was a rating of zero stars, that would be my rating. There was absolutely nothing exceptional about this particular store. I asked for booth, and got to look like I was asking for some kind of special consideration regarding seating.
We were taken to a booth that was completely dirty while there other empty booths available. The hostess told me that she would clean it for us. That just didn't make sense. So I asked for a table and we were seated at a table that was supposed to have been completely cleaned. Upon sitting the table was sticky and had rings from drinks still on it and it was set with silverware. I asked for the table to be wiped down. This is something I should not have needed to do.
Our server was not very welcoming. I guess you was a little put out because she had wiped the table down. That's something she should have done in the first place. I would assume that most people do like to eat at a clean table when they dine out. I can only speak for myself about my meal. I ordered a senior chicken strip dinner. The portion was terrible, and I had to snack after I got home. Rather than the senior meal would look more like a children's menu meal.
It was not exceptionally busy and I found it strange that no managers came to check to see if everything was as it should be. I was not even asked if everything was okay when I went to pay the bill. Did not even get a thank you. I'm not sure ; but maybe it's not politically correct to thank customers these days. Will not be returning to this Perkins. The reader might ask why do I return to this particular store. It was merely for convenience. I guarantee that I have learned my lesson. I would rather be slightly inconvenienced but have a great...
Read morePerkins 1-3-25 Stopped by our local Perkins on route 41 & Hancock Bridge Pkwy for the Great American Trio Special Breakfast. This special consist of 2 Buttermilk Pancakes, 1 Egg & 2 strips of Bacon. We got there at 8:30 am on a Friday. This place was not full, the waitress Rachel came over to seat us quickly. This place looked like it has not been updated in many years. The ceiling tile looked dirty and the high back chairs we were seated at rocked like a rocking chair. Rachel seated us near an entrance door, but we asked to be moved because it was very cold out and we had a elderly person with us. She did move us but put us in the same area. It just seemed like we were bothering her. We ask her about the Special we had seen in the TV commercials as we forgot the name. She stated she doesn’t watch any commercials and has no idea what we were talking about. She came back with our coffee and once again the conversation turned to the special. She then stated it may be the Trio Special. Once again, she acted like we were bothering her. It took a while for our food to come out. I ordered the Skillet, and it was good and hot and that’s about all I can say about it nothing special. Our elderly friend ordered 2 Blueberry Pancakes they looked a little small, but they were good and hot. The wife did order the Tri Special with an upcharge for 2 eggs. It was good and hot. There is nothing special about this place and the waitress Rachel was just a downer. We did talk to the manager about this, and she took note. I will give this place 3 out of 5 stars mainly because of the Service and the outdated interior. ⭐⭐⭐ Follow Me On FB For...
Read moreI was a server in two restaurants and thankfully not here, this one sucked. I don't think I've had issues at other Perkins. First thing walking in our hostess makes a joke about not knowing who's the next server because of how slow it is yet it took 15 minutes for anyone to come grab drinks. We order everything at once and the food does come out pretty quickly, which definitely reflected in the taste, or lack thereof. I got a sirloin with mushrooms, mashed potatoes, and broccoli. My bf got a Belgian waffle with scrambled eggs and sausages. The only thing that had flavor was the gravy that came on the potatoes. Steak was cooked correctly, I'll give em that but the meal was laughable. I didn't want to leave a review because if they keep serving the same food they'll run themselves out of customers. I didn't get mushrooms and asked the server if I could still have them, she said nothing and seemed upset. Came back 10 minutes later saying they'd take a while and I said if they hadn't started I'd be fine without them, was already done with my meal at that point. She came back with some that had been obviously under the warmer too long yet still has 0 flavor. Like they cooked the flavor out of them. My bf's scrambled eggs came as a folded omelet, not fully cooked. His sausages were also wildly undercooked. Still got charged for the mushrooms. The 4 dollar black coffee was the best part of the meal. Save your money and...
