Sometimes you find a place to eat that’s off the beaten path and you find out it’s delicious! This restaurant has the BEST AUTHENTIC soups in the Fort Myers area! It’s extremely hard to find authentic ingredients and excellent Mexican and Central American cuisine. But, this restaurant has accomplished that! The Diablo Shrimp is the hottest in the area and the Michicheladas are awesome! The staff and owners make you feel at home and are definitely going to make you laugh/smile a lot! I’ve lived abroad in Mexico for years and love authenticity. So I don’t care where a restaurant is located. Especially if it has delicious authentic ingredients and food made with love! They Eve had “Vici” Victoria Mexican beer and the salsa is excellent! A great place to take your family or enjoy food to go. You can even grab some beer or Latino groceries on the way out. Because there’s a small store inside too.

Absolutely, positively the most authentic and most freshly prepared Mexican food that I found in Southwest Florida. I have the super burrito with homemade guacamole picante and homemade horchata. The tortilla on the burrito was super fresh. The pinto beans were not from a can and all of the produce was extremely fresh. Salsa picante was homemade with roughly chopped jalapenos, red onions, tomato and cilantro. Superb! Like guacamole is clearly made in house and fresh this morning. Very chunky, just like I remember when I visited Mexico or growing up in southern California. And finally, the horchata was out of this world creamy and refreshing! Can't say enough about this family-owned restaurant. This is my new Mexican frequent stop.

For our first time, the food was very fresh and absolutely DELICIOUS!!! Kinda wish there were fountain drinks, as I love to take one to go.But the man that waited on us, was so polite, and had small conversation with us, and was also great. Kisses to the chef, we left full and happy. This is my review 3 days later, and I'm still thinking about it. They serve lengua!!!! I was def excited!! I know its pricey, but it is sooo hard to find places that have that, and it was just as good as if I had made it at home. We will def be returning! The torta was everything!

Well folks I have discovered a dusty gem. This is not for you prim & proper people. Just good food in a HOLE in the Wall place. This is located in the corner of Star Mall a very small strip mall. Way back in the corner. on N. Tamiami Trail & Pondella. This is a combo Mexican mart/travel agency/Taqueria.

When you enter you see all 3. The taqueria has a 6-7 stool white tile counter. Plus a small 2 person table in the middle. There are 5-6 remotes laying around. On the TV is a Spanish channel playing. EVERYTHING is in Spanish first and English 2nd.

They seem to hide the menu. It is pretty typical fare. Tacos, enchilada and the Burrito

Ahhh the super burrito! I thought it was a bit pricey at 7.99 BUT this was the first burrito where I NEEDED to use a fork. It was stuffed with all the fix-ins. There was no pork option but there was a chorizo option. It was DELESH...The salsa was fresh and the green sauce was ,NOT FOR YOU WIMPS, VERY CALIENTE.

So if you like hot & spicy ( the way I like my women ) and are adventurous....

If you are looking for good south of the border inspired food, go here. The owner is extremely kind and not only took our order but also talked to us about his inspiration for the dishes that he had on his menu. Everything we ate was good. I had the veggie burrito and it was huge and so good. I would get avocado with it next time for sure. (I ate the avocado from my dad's food and it was the perfect addition.)

My boyfriend had beef tongue tacos and was super impressed by them. My mom got the stuffed pepper and also enjoyed them. My dad got a mix of meats and said everything was cooked really well. The rice and beans was not the traditional rice and beans you get at every other Mexican restaurant (which makes sense...this is not a Mexican restaurant!) The beans were not refried but came whole with a flavorful sauce. The rice wasn't the usual rice you get at Mexican restaurants--it was really good though. Overall this place is worth giving a try. ...
