The Hangout by Two Guys — Restaurant in Florida

It has taken me a few days to write this review as I wanted to make sure it captures the true gratitude and pure bliss the hangout provided us for our wedding reception.

The food: they have a great catering menu and restaurant menu. We have always been a fan of their restaurant food so when we were looking for a place to cater they were an easy choice. However, they exceeded the high expectations we had with a phenomenal buffet of Cajun chicken Alfredo, pork shoulder, mashed potatoes, crab stuffed mushrooms, and Cesar salad. They also made the best mini cheesecakes! One of our guests stated “the chef obviously knew what he was doing with the pork. It is so good!” Everyone had seconds, if not thirds because it was all amazing!

Decor: this two guys location is GORGEOUS! And while it may sound silly, even the bathrooms are amazing! They made sure every little detail was thought of when decorating this space. It is so elegant, yet modern and can be dressed up and down for a number of occasions!

The staff: we worked with Taylor in catering as well as Peter one of the co-owners. And let me tell you, these people have a love and a passion for what they do!! Taylor was quick to respond to our website inquiry and then made calls to me almost daily with updates about our event and tips regarding catering timelines. THEN, Peter emailed me, met us at the space to talk about decoration design and layout, AND was there the day of the event to ensure everything went perfectly! And to top it all of, both owners and their parents were there making the night run smoothly!

This family oriented business is so efficiently run and does not skimp on service or quality like some of the bigger companies do! They truly went above and beyond!!! My husband and I cannot thank this company and location enough for EVERYTHING!! If you are looking for a space for your next event, look no further!

As I looked through the rest of the menu, there were so many amazing things I would love to try. They have pizza, pasta, burgers, sandwiches, so many great options! And the service by Bryce (not sure I spelled that right) was super friendly and attentive for the brief time I was there. I opted for the Chicken Parm main meal. I learned about this restaurant on Nextdoor a few days ago, and people had written so highly of their food and supporting a local business, which I wanted to do.

My wife came back to join me, and I was seated outside; there were only me and one other customer who had occupied tables. Every other table was empty. Less than 30 seconds after she sat down as I wanted for my food, a person, presumably the manager or owner, came out and said my wife could not eat her breakfast with me. I explained that I had ordered a meal and she wanted breakfast food, but he would not budge. He could have handled it so many different ways- like explaining our policy is no outside food and don't do it again, but since this restaurant isn't busy it's okay this one time. This way I could have at least tried their food, and would likely be back!

I can see how "bringing outside food" may not be appreciated, but I had ordered a meal for myself, and outside seating was completely empty. Plus, I am occupying a two-person outdoor table whether seated alone or with my wife. Not wanting to be separated, we both left.

This manager could have shown discretion, and if it was a busy time, I would understand, but I personally think this is petty. As much as the menu looks amazing, I will never be back and would discourage you from supporting...

My Friend and I went there on a Saturday because we enjoy Wednesday Trivia Night so much and the environment was great! however, I will never go back there after what happen Saturday Night. The Bartender that was working that night was just plain awful , who was a redhead with a full beard and I believe his name was Stephen. As soon as we sat down, he started by saying he got called in on his day off, like it was our problem. When we ordered our drinks he called us the worst customers he had so far because he actual had to make a mix drink. We tried to order food and he said he wasn’t taking food only drinks so don’t ask for food. After just receiving just horrible service we decided to leave after only been there for maybe 45minutes. When he gave me the bill, I noticed he charged me for more than what we ordered. We ordered 1 margarita, 1 LIT, and 2 lemon drop shots. Probably 10 minutes before that we saw him taking shots, which I know is part of the job, so no telling how drunk he was. He continued to argue with me after I explained that he put 2 margaritas and 2 LIT on my bill instead of 1 each… He said that he was trying to give us a discount, which didn’t make sense because he charged us for more than what we had!! Luckily the manager came over and handle him because I have never been talked to like that at a restaurant before. If he is working stay away from him! Hopefully he does not work...
