This is our second time here since the new owners took over. We seated ourselves as we always have for the last 5 years only to be moved to another table because they wanted to give our table to another customer. We where seated for over an hour before we got drinks. The staff was running around like crazy knocking bused a dish of creamers out of the bus boys hands. When served our breakfast I only received one slice of toast. When I asked about why only one slice of toast, when I ordered only sides, I was told that they cut back to only one slice to cover the cost of eggs. I donât eat eggs! Guess we wonât be coming back to this place anymore. Time for a new breakfast stop.
Wow!!! The reply coming for the management/new owners just flat out called me a lier!! Yes indeed a bowel of creamers wear knock out of the busboys hands. No it did not break but fell on the ground and spilled creamer. Secondly, oh my!! An order of toast ( mind you one slice) is $2.25!!!!! I can not believe that the new owners care so little about their loyal clients that have been coming here for so long before anywhere else, would give such a reply back. As long as I have been coming to the owl I have always been told every visit to seat myself where ever I want!! The people that were seated at the table we wear asked to get up from came way after we had already been there seated waiting forever to be acknowledged. The fist person to acknowledge us came and asked if we needed our check. And YES we waited an almost an hour to give our drink order. Lol. It is obvious that although you bought the owl because you also enjoyed patronizing the owl, you definitely do not know anything about customer service. Report me sure go ahead I have not lied on anything I have reported!! I have witnesses and I will see you in court if you want to...
Read moreThe food is home cooked and always served hot and fresh. I HIGHLY recommend the Eggs Benedict(of which there are several varieties to choose from) and the hollandaise sauce is TO DIE FOR. I would lick the plate clean every time if I wasn't embarrassing my teenage son lol who also loves the Green Owl, and this I kno, cuz he doesn't want to be seen out with me except when I ask him if he wants to go get some breakfast or lunch at the Owl. The only two minor complaints I have is that I can only afford to eat breakfast here a couple of times a month(breakfast for me and my husband, I got the eggs bennie, he got French Toast... 4 large brioche slices cooked perfectly... and a side of scrambled eggs and we both had coffee... it was $36 and change, so over $42 with tax n tip) and my other complaint is that they're not open for dinner or on Mondays. I would eat there every meal, if God was willing lol đ. Definitely one of the best places to eat in town and one of the few restaurants left of a dying breed... the family owned/ operated diner. These ppl will get to know your name, drink and meal preferences and the food comes out fast and delicious. What more can...
Read moreI would like to bring something to the attention of all loyal Owl Country Grill patrons. My name is Kent. I am related to the owners of the grill. One of the owners is my sister and the other my brother-in-law. Both of these people have worked tirelessly for the last few years to build a great place to have breakfast and lunch where people can feel at home. Recently there was a staff change from some long time employees that was made purely as a business decision. Nothing more said there. It has come to my attention that in the last couple days several one star reviews have been posted. These may be real or not unsure but one thing I would like to say and ask all loyal patrons. Look at all the reviews from the last few years mostly five star. The food is great, the service is great and the atmosphere is like home. The restaurant is re-staffing and as it has been in the past will be a great place to enjoy breakfast or lunch. The owners are deeply caring and never ignore anybody. Please come in and make your own...
