The Wharf Casual Seafood — Restaurant in Florida

I cannot say enough about The Wharf. After a short day trip to meet family half way from Mississippi to Jacksonville. Fl, we ended up in Marianna, Fl. So we all decided to try here to eat for lunch. The food was absolutely delicious. We got the platter with everything on it, some was grilled and some was fried. Food was so fresh, fried oysters were fresh, fried soft shell crab fresh, grilled shrimp and fish were just so good as well as the hush puppies were absolutely delicious, Cole slaw just excellent as well. My son got the Cajun shrimp and grits and said it was the best he's ever had. My daughter in love got the fried shrimp basket and she also said her food was absolutely delicious. The sweet tea could have been a little bit sweeter but overall just absolute excellent place. The place was very clean. Bathrooms were clean. If you haven't eaten here, I highly recommend you do. If I could give The Wharf 10 stars I would because everything was so fresh, cooked perfectly, clean and the best seafood we have eaten even living on The Gulf Coast in Mississippi, it was better seafood than we have gotten over here ina really long time. We definitely will be eating here everytime we come through...

A small fast casual seafood restaurant.

Prices seemed a little high to me, but that just maybe my unfamiliarity with prices at these style of resuarants.

Their prices are inbetween a quick serve resturant and a slower casual dining restaurant.

Similar to the prices, so is the table service.

You place your order at the front counter, seat yourself afterwards, and then a server brings you the order.

On my first visit the staff was super friendly and helpful.

I have a small appetite so I order from the kids menu. And it was plenty.

Had a piece of blackened fish. Came with a healthy treat of fresh cut apple slices. Tasty 😋

It also came with three delicious hushpuppies. I wouldn’t lie to you. As well as a ample side of red beans and rice.

There are 9 sides to choose from, so you’re not only limited to red beans and rice.

Red beans and rice had some flavor. But I prefer my red beans and rice balanced. Too many beans and too wet for my preference. But it still tasted good.

Fish was damn good. Blackened just right and well seasoned.

We had a horrible experience at the Wharf. We got there at 4pm and ordered our food. There were about 6 people in the restaurant. After 30 minutes we did not get our food so we asked the waitress, she said it was coming right out. How she knew that without going in the kitchen I don’t know. . We saw people who came and ordered their food after we did and were served. 15 minutes later still no food, we asked the kitchen person again and she said it will be right out. 10 minutes later she came to our table with both orders. Both orders were wrong as to what we ordered. At that point we just wanted to leave. We asked for our money back and the waitress said they don’t do that and they would redo the order she did not offer discount or free for the long wait and wrong food. We did not want to wait so I insisted a full refund. Well the waitress did not know how to do that and had to call the manager who was not at the restaurant, he was home. She even said the credit won’t go through for about 3 days. Their charge went right away. I cannot comment on the food since we never got any. We will never go...
