So I heard through the grapevine that this place had some of the best pizza in town, so I had to come check it out. I love pizza. It's a cozy little hole in the wall joint, which I love. A little over a half-dozen booths in the whole place, slices ready to serve in the glass box, and one of the aforementioned booths full of pizza boxes that were in the process of being put together.
I got sat and my super friendly server, Lauren, came over and introduced herself. She answered all of my questions and made the useful recommendation of going half-and-half on a whole pie. So I did it. I ordered a 14" pie, half The Butcher's Pizza (Pepperoni, sausage, meatballs, bacon & ham) and half Hawaiian (Ham and pineapple).
The Butcher's Pizza was much better than most meat-based pizzas I've had. Each meat added something to the mix. Even the usually blah topping of meatballs had a nice Italian kick to it. Big fan. The Hawaiian was solid as always. Even though there were only two toppings, the slice was slathered in those two toppings. Very generous portions.
The crust of the pizza was the best part. Crust makes or breaks the pizza. We all know this. This crust was thin, the good stuff, but it was also sturdy enough to hold in all the toppings when folded in half. The crust of the crust was crunchy and chewy, but not too chewy. You now when the crust crust is basically a loaf of bread? Not here.
Overall, this place was really really good. I usually give really really good places four stars, but this place really caught me off guard and thinking back, I can't think of a single critique about the place. The pizza was A+, my server Lauren was A+, and the whole scene was A+. I don't usually go with good pizza places like this when satisfying my football pizza needs, I usually just go with Pizza Hut, but I think I've finally found a place where the bang is worth my...
Read moreFirst let me say I love Tomasino’s Pizza. My very first time was in July of maybe 2011 in Orlando. Christmas Music was playing outside and I heard it across the parking lot by Ross. I got the special, took it home and knew this was the best I would have short of me being back home in the Bronx. I went there numerous times, brought friends from both here in Florida as well as up North. Never a bad experience. I relocated to the Casselberry area and was thrilled they were so close by. I ordered via telephone about 6 wks ago. Picked up my pizza...it was as usual delicious. On yesterday, myself and a friend went for late lunch... There were open seats but not wiped down, that I could see, regular menus that everyone would use, rather than being able to scan a barcode on my phone. . There was 1 server and it began to get quite busy. She took our order, appetizer and 2 Lunch Specials. The food came all together, so eating the appetizer allowed our pizza to get cold. We asked for garlic and parmesan cheese, it was brought to us from wherever and seemed to us that they were used and reused by others. When we asked for more water, the glass was reused, rather than being given another one. As I said it was getting crowded and this location has limited seating space. Customers were now standing in the doorway, some with, some without masks, as customers were coming to pick up their takeout orders, they had to walk thru the group of waiting to be seated people. I am not one who complains, however, we are still experiencing COVID and the precautions that should have been taken were not there. Both myself and my friend were just disappointed overall. Some CDC training may prove helpful. I will not be returning to...
Read moreI will not be returning due to the ineptitude of management. I wasted $25 and over an hour of my time due to their disorganization. My husband went in store and placed a large order almost $100 worth of food. He came home and the pizza was incorrect. I called and informed them about it and was told they would remake the pie for us no problem just call it in whenever we're ready to have it remade. I called today to have it remade and after explaining the situation and being on the phone for 24mins (most of it on hold) I was told they didn't have a record of the remake and they had called the manager but he was on break and wouldn't be in the store for several hours but he would call me in 20mins or less. After an hour went by I called the store again and was once again placed on hold for another 10mins then the manager called me. He told me they didn't have a record of the remake and the best he could do was offer a 50% discount on my next order. I told him not to worry about it as I won't be ordering from there again. Im new to the area and my family loves Italian food. I'm looking for a good Italian take out restaurant that has good food and quality customer service. If anyone has any recommendations I'd appreciate it. I'd rather spend my money where my business is appreciated and valued. This place is not it. I would not recommend them as they are disorganized and don't value...
