It pains me to write this review because the pizza itself is some of the best in the area but their shyster business practices will keep me away for good. After placing my order online and paying for it, I took a look at my receipt and saw a $1.50 Service Fee. Now I will admit before I clicked to pay I did not notice the small taxes and fees line on the order. Looking back at it this morning there is a small greyed out information circle that if you hover over it states " service fee is for online order processing and packaging." Isn't $23.00 already enough for a pizza that you need to basically hide your service fee? Obviously $1.50 isn't going to break me but considering they are closed probably a couple of days a year and have 20 or so online orders a day, that's over $10,000 per year they make off of their service fee. When I asked about it at pick up I was told "oh it's just a fee they charge for online orders, if you called it in there isn't a fee." So you provide me with an online avenue to order so you can reduce staff to save costs but charge your customer for it....interesting! Also beware, when you order online it automatically adds a tip. You have to go in and put zero in the custom tip section. Last time I checked tipping was for exceptional service, what part of exceptional service did I receive for ordering online? The tipping and donation practices at all of these restaurants is just getting...
Read morePlaced an order for dine in at 1:24 pm. Large pepperoni pizza, 4 garlic knots 2 drinks. $30. When I placed the order the young man operating the register struggled to input the order, probably at the 2 to 3 minute mark at this point trying to figure it out. He asked for help from 1 of the 3 other employees, all of which were on their phones. The dad stepped over and helped. 45 minutes into sitting at a table, still no food, 1 of the employees noticed that we were still sitting at a table, which is surprising considering we were the only ones in the restaurant... I here him ask the others why we were still here, and the father said oh we didn't know they were in here! 2:16 I finally got my pizza, garlic knots, in a box like it was to go. With an apology for the wait. I then asked for plates as we had asked to dine in, again he apologized, said he didn't take the order. The garlic knots were cold and hard, the had been put in the oven and placed in a box for over half an hour, and the pizza was warm at best. At 2:32 we left. Over an hour spent in this place, and the employees were still just playing on their phones. Food may have been good if it was prepared properly, the warm pizza was good, probably could have been better if hot. But first impressions are everything, and for the lack of service, mediocre food and no effort made to correct the problem, I will not be back....
Read moreI’m so sad… The worst experience of my life. Today (11/30/2024), I went to celebrate my 30th birthday. There were 9 of us. We had just finished at church, where we serve, and needed to complete some paperwork before closing the church. We got delayed and arrived at Tony’s Pizza at 8:35 pm, and they close at 9 pm. They could have told us they wouldn’t serve us because of the time, but they accepted to serve us. The service was great, the waitress was very attentive, but we ordered two pizzas and both came with the entire bottom burnt (inedible). I also ordered a chicken parmesan pasta for my son, who has special needs (and to my surprise, the chicken parmesan was also completely burnt). My friends didn’t want to complain so I wouldn’t feel embarrassed, but it was embarrassing because I invited them and believed the place would offer quality food. I’m really upset, and I hope this doesn’t happen to other people who invite their friends and want to...
