I have NEVER in my life dealt with an experience like I did at this Checkers in Brandon. Not once, but twice. The first time, I paid to add cheese and stuff on fries that I thought would be separate because my child have a food sensitivity. I was told they would remake the food for me. Then someone came to the window with the WORSE attitude saying they refuse to fix it. That it wasn’t their fault. So I asked for it plain and a refund of the amount I paid extra. She said ok. Until another person comes up and says that she won’t do that. At this point i was just over it and I asked for a full refund. They took my card and said 3-7 business days it should go back. However, it did not. I called corporate and after waiting to hear back from them, they said to go back and at-least try to get the meal that was paid for until I heard back again. I went back. Only for them to literally argue with me for 30 minutes telling me that their General manager (whom wasn’t present but on the phone) said there is nothing they can do. So I spent money, got no food and no refund. I was at-least asking for the food I paid for. I asked for contact info for whoever runs this checkers being that they said corporate doesn’t run this location. The GM was on the phone with the “manager” because she kept calling her. Three times to be exact. And each time she said that the Gm said I was out of luck and that she wasn’t willing to talk to me, or help me. And there was no number to call for someone above them. I’m literally mind blown. They took my money . Literally stole it. THEN tells me had I came back in 3 days that they MAYBE they could have helped me. So it was my fault for waiting the 3-7 days I was quoted by the supposed manager. I have literally lived here my entire life. Was born in Brandon. Always have loved checkers. Eat there multiple times a week. But the way they do their customers here, is by far disgusting. While my child is asking why they won’t help us. Insane! I pray they get new management . Read moreI ordered food here with my family in the drive-thru. I had asked for a receipt told the girl thank you. She didn't say anything. Another girl comes and just handed me my food she also didn't say anything. So I sat there not knowing if that was all of our food since I ordered a lot. The first rude employee opens the window and I asked if that was all of our food. She said yes and I said oh I didn't know because the other girl didn't say anything. I was going to pull away and was told by my daughter that the girl waved obviously trying to be rude not friendly. I then asked the first rude employee if I can have the employees name. She said no. She asked if I wanted to speak with a manager. I said yes. The manager comes over looking annoyed and/or stressed and asked me what is the problem. I asked her for the employee's name who waved and she said it was Brianna. I told her that Brianna needs to learn how to speak with people. I work in customer service and I am nice even to the customers who are not friendly at all. I was never rude to these employees. I was frustrated because I am tired of spending money at places where the customer service is so poor. If people don't like their jobs then they should quit.
