The food is great, the employees are great, and the vibe is great; but local management has a lot of growing to do.... The District Manager, Kyrsten, was very unprofessional in her conduct with me. I'm also not a fan of how often the Waffle House, Inc raises their prices- a "temporary per egg surcharge"... Really? Yet it takes them years to raise employee wages; I've never seen temporary wage increases due to inflation, have you?!
This store is a positive example in many ways - like consistently doing well during health inspections - but it's also a victim of the corporate structure and system. Employees not being supported or paid well shows, even though they generate immense value for Waffle House.
I would go here more often if they implemented a bike rack outside.
I would also encourage Waffle House corporate to include more native plants and shade in store lots, as well as solar panel systems to power the store, cars, and more.
LGBTQ+ Customers| Restrooms are single-use, private rooms, and both are wheel-chair accessible, though the area may be kind of tight and awkward to maneuver. Generally, the staff here are welcoming, and I haven't heard of significant issues, though the company is not explicitly LGBTQ+ friendly. Assert your pronouns if wait-staff assume incorrectly. Yes I'd have to account for the towns Christmas parade that had recently concluded so just about any restaurant dine-in or carry-out was mighty swamped. PRODUCTIVITY PEOPLE!!! I was stunned by the lack of hospitality.I was there about an hour when my husband and finally received our order, and bless his heart he only ordered '"A'" waffle ( yep, only ONE WAFFLE 🧇) The waiting area was full of people/family's standing where every possible as the staff simply refused to🚫 acknowledge the issue and provide even a verbal assurance that they would be with you asap. Just blank stares with no expressions, body movements appeared more robotic than anything else....it was like slow motion in real time action ..or no action in this case..... 😂 LOL. Biden screwed up everything for our children's future. This location, the north side, where Mr. James works, is not where I had the problem, but he fixed me up real nice and I definitely will be coming back to the Waffle House on the north side when James is working!!! I had and issue with the Waffle House on James Lee Blvd, I told them two times I wanted slivered onions on my burger, I even went back for a third time after the burger was given to me to ask for slivered onions in a wrapper, and the cook and waitress told me he gave me onions under my burger, I just left because I knew what I was up against. They gave me onions in my hashbrowns which I did Not ask for with my burger, and in the burger they gave me the sautéed onions, again, which I did not ask for. I wanted slivered onions.
