Westshore Pizza, Hillsborough Ave — Restaurant in Florida

I don't enjoy writing bad reviews and have seldom done this, but too many chances for this location. We have ordered pizza several times in person, on the phone and delivery within the last couple of years. Our pizza and experience on Saturday was the worst to date. Several times the wait has been excessive - beyond 1 to 1/1/2 hours - even in person with a carryout. We live within walking distance. The quality has been sometimes good and other times mediocre. We ordered a 14" pizza, half meat and the other half the same veggies, just no meat. Not only was the wait well over an hour, the pizza was incorrect - everything was on one side, the pizza was extremely thin and the quality was one of the worst pizzas I have ever had. We have given too many chances and will not return. My boyfriend wanted his money back due to the extreme wait and nothing was done about that even though they have seen us in person several times. Ordered 4 slices (2 cheese 2 pepp) and mozzarella sticks. When the order came it was 2 slices short, which in itself was disappointing. Once we opened the cheese sticks it was clear they had been left in the fryer for too long and sat out till stone cold and the two slices we did receive had very clearly been sitting out for hours, crusty pepperoni old under the the slice and all. I called to tell them not to bother sending the other two pieces,before I could get that out I was cut off by the employee stating there was a mix up at the front counter and that's why the other two slices did not arrive, the mix up was not reading the two tickets attached to my order because it very clearly said 2x (Which would be 4 slices). When I asked for a manager I was informed there was not one there, on a Sunday, right before the rush... the employee then stated she would inform the manager, but at no point did she ask my name, contact info or even half an apology. I literally donated $30 to westshore pizza tonight....

Westshore pizza is the best pizza in the world especially when it is fresh out the oven and one of the owners makes the dough. I have eaten at many pizzerias up and down the east coast of the united states and some come close but still far off from westshore pizza. The pinapple ham calzone is my favorite and the dont skimp on size like everyone else does. The phillies are banging . I talked to the orginal maker of the recipe for the dough and ate 2 slices he just made fresh out of the oven from the location in lithia and they were the best slices i ever ate in my life. But, i grew up next to the location that was in apollo beach and the one on westshore blvd . My late little brother used to work at the one in apollo and thats how i was introduced to westhore . I still dont know the recipe to the dough but its worth not knowing so i can go make a trip...
