Horrible advertising and horrible service communication. Their direct website displays incorrect information, or lack thereof.

Me and two family members arrived at this location at 8:34pm, leaving 26 minutes before closing (9pm); as stated by their direct website. In front of us was another group with about 8 people. All 11 of us were turned away by the employees because they decided to close early.

I can understand that they may have closed early because of an “off season”. However, I find it unacceptable to operate a business with such disinterest in customer service if not properly disclosed. Their website does not include any information regarding warning of early closure.

If all 11 of the people in line had spent $10, the company could have gained $110 in profit in a matter of minutes…only 4 extra minutes (of time they were scheduled to be open anyways) mind you!!

I did not have the chance to speak any further with the group ahead of mine, but as for my group, we will never return to this establishment…as there is no telling that they’ll even be open at the times they have listed on their site.

What a waste of time.

And to others who think we “should have called”…Customers cannot and should not be expected to call prior to arrival and ask about hours if the hours are directly stated on their website. No other establishment expects that...

The ice cream was sooooooo weak. And sooooo expensive. It was truly disappointing. We got 2 milkshakes and 3 scoops in a bowl, and it was $40 before any tip. It was also very hard to locate where it was. You have to go inside the Springhill Suite Marriott (which is a gorgeous hotel on the beach). But when you go in the doors from the parking lot you have to get on the elevator and go up 1 floor to the main lobby. The ice cream store is in the middle of the main lobby. And the actual store is really cute! The hotel, again, is really beautiful, but that's about it... that's the only reason for the 2 stars. The ice cream we had from the little food truck in the parking lot of one of the restraunts was MUCH BETTER. This place is one of those overpriced bougjee places. The way they have you sit down to order with a little menu is cute. And I must say they had other options of deserts that we did not try. So maybe they are better than the ice cream.... but if you want ice cream: Save your money to spend...

My experience at Whitecaps Ice Cream was extremely disappointing. The workers on staff were unmotivated, inattentive, and clearly lacked proper training. They appeared very young and inexperienced, which showed in both their attitude and their service. Instead of creating a welcoming environment, the staff came across as lazy and uninterested in serving customers. For a business that charges premium prices on its menu, the level of service should be far more professional. Whitecaps needs to seriously reconsider its hiring and training practices if it wants to justify its...

We had an amazing experience at this little hidden gem, once we found where it was (inside the hotel, upstairs). We were not guests at the hotel, so we felt out of our element, but the guy behind the counter was SO friendly and helpful. He was the only one working and it was getting busy, but he did great. The desserts were absolutely fabulous and delicious! A few of us got the Marie Antoinette (pictured), my folks got the banana split one (can't remember the name), and my family just got scoops with toppings, and everything was superb!

I got a REGULAR milkshake from this place-no extravagant toppings or flavors or anything like that-and tell me why it was 15 dollars……Why tf are the ultimate milkshakes with all of the extra embellishments only one dollar more than a regular milkshake with one flavor and no toppings??? I ordered a salted caramel truffle milkshake and tell me why i got a milkshake that literally tasted like vanilla (see photo)….there was nothing about no salt, caramel, or truffle in that shake. I paid $15 for a plain vanilla milkshake…..

The milkshakes are absolutely amazing! Really nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. The only thing that was somewhat disappointing was that the milkshakes (we bought 10) were in plastic cups instead of the glass mason jars like advertised. They were not quite as instragrammable as the teen girls had hoped for. But other than the containers we loved the visit and have had everyone asking about the place! It was my daughter’s birthday and it turned out to be such a perfect venue to celebrate! Thank you so much!
