I had broke my left ankle and my right foot. Have to have surgery coming up on the ankle. This pier was so easy to get in and maneuver on. The lady working the store was so kind. We had a great day on the pier fishing. Was my first time from a wheelchair but I really enjoyed it. Everyone that was out fishing was kind and caring and so polite. We didn't get to fish off the octagon because we rented poles but not worried about that at all. My lonely little one fish was mad up for by my wife and our friends that had met us here. The was was so clear and beautiful. The turtle people stayed on top of the fisherman in case they hooked one, which some young kids did. Sad part was they did it on purpose. And we love having the restaurant right on site. So good if you are hungry or thirsty. Also, it was probably the cleanest pier we have fished from in our years of traveling. If you come to Navarre or even Pensacola make the drive here and go out on the pier. Even if it is to only walk and sit on one of their benches. Disabled Veterans are free, Veterans get a dollar off. They had other discounts but didn't pay attention. Come on out and enjoy. Will definitely be...
Read moreBeautiful pier. I went there to fish. I didn’t get much bites, but that comes with the territory of fishing. The anglers are cool overall and not hostile like some places I been to in the past. It a large pier and have plenty of areas to fish from. A lot of foot traffic when I went since it has non anglers passing through and enjoy the scenery. So be careful and watch carefully to make sure you not hooking up people who don’t understand to stand clear lol. I plan to to visit this pier in the future again. It was very clean and a lot of people don’t realize there is a portable restroom near the end. It wasn’t the cleanest or the nastiest. Just beware some people don’t aim well and you may end up with some slickness under your footwear. Maybe even smell the strong ammonia as you carry on due to you stepping on it. I recommend anyone check it out for fishing or...
Read moreWe walked from our condo which was a mile away. Walking the beach and sand, it felt a lot further away than it looked and was. A lot of fishermen/women on the pier. There is a restaurant attached to the gift shop. The gift shop is where you pay to go onto the pier. That was a little complicated to me. It was kind of hard to know how to get to the pier and pay since we came in from the beach side. Signage wasn’t good from the beach side (to me). It is a long walk out to the end of the pier. Definitely need some shoes to walk to the end of the pier and there is a water connection at the entrance for the fish weighing area where we washed the sand off of our feet. I would suggest going to the pier and parking and not go from the beach side unless you are staying right next to the pier. We did enjoy it and saw some dolphins and...
