I do not typically leave reviews at restaurants especially considering how hard food service can be at times. However, that being said my 37 week pregnant wife stopped to get some food for us tonight at this location. She waited 20 minutes in the drive thru for the order (No big deal it's happening everywhere right now). She finally gets the meals, pulls into a parking space to check and make sure the order is correct, and finds it to be incorrect from what she had ordered.
She parks the car and walks up to get it corrected and finds the dining room is closed, she then proceeds to knock and gets no response. (Maybe no one heard her? benefit of the doubt) She then walks to a different side of the restaurant where a kitchen employee sees her thru the window. This employee then proceeds to get a front employee's attention and points at my wife. The front employee sees my wife and can see she is obviously holding up a Zaxby's food bag in her hands but choses to turn around, walk off and not assist my wife. The original employee then proceeds to make eye contact again with my wife and starts laughing (presumably at a comment made by the front employee). No one came to the door while my wife stood there with her incorrect order and she eventually left (upset) without ever getting her meal corrected.
The fact that any customer would be treated like this much less an obviously very pregnant woman is beyond me. My wife called and spoke with a Manager who's name was Trey. He did the obligatory whole I am sorry routine but then proceeded to tell her, "well most people call when they have an issue and then we walk outside" Okay but two employees made eye contact with my wife who's holding a Zaxbys bag in her hand and did nothing. What is even worse, one of them starts obviously laughing at her. When my wife mentioned this to Trey he did not really have a comment on the employees behavior.
Again, this is not my usual style as mistakes do happen and I can understand that. What infuriates me is my wife standing on the sidewalk in plain view of employees and receiving no help and being laughed at in...
Read moreI usually eat Zaxby's every Saturday as a College football tradition for almost the last 10 years here living in Tallahassee. I ALWAYS order 2 GRILLED chicken sandwiches (not too fond of much fried food.) For the last 3 years I have been ordering from the Zaxby's location that is on Thomasville road close to Bannerman Crossings. Over the last 9 months I have seen a total decline in food quality and the quantity of portions as the prices continue to go up. I have attempted to find corporate emails to no avail easily so now I am forced to write this review knowing that my issue could have been resolved easier talking to someone directly from corporate. I have photos of my receipts for the last 2 years (I use bite squad for delivery.) They show just how much I spend and how often and show exactly what I order over and over again. My complaint is simple. It comes down to portion size and cost. Over the years Zaxby's has done like every other food retailer. The portions have gotten smaller and the price has gone up. I get it totally. They have to maintain a profit to stay afloat. M issue or question is when does portion size to stay profitable become so ridiculous that they should quit serving a product? Like I said earlier, I usual order 2 GRILLED chicken sandwiches with my order. For the last several months these sandwiches get pretty expensive and the cost has gone up. This brings me to tonight. I ordered several items for the household and 2 grilled Cajun sandwiches that cost $8.29 each. Both of those sandwiches were ridiculous for the amount of chicken I received vs. Price. The first chicken breakfast weighed in at 2.1 ounces. The other at 2.5 ounces. Yes I have pictures on a calibrated food scale. For the record, the bun scraped off of all condiments weighed 2.5 ounces. This is totally ridiculous and they...

When I came in last Tuesday, I had my mind set on ordering a Kickin' Chicken sandwich combo for lunch. A simple, classic combo menu item; a chicken tender sandwich on texas toast, with tangy medium buffalo sauce, and Zaxby's creamy ranch dressing. Served with a side of seasoned crinkle-cut fries, and a drink; suffice to say I was looking forward to lunch.
When I got to work and opened up the box, however, my heartbreak began to set in. The bread, was soggy; lopsided, and limping over the side of the chicken tenders. The chicken tenders were effectively barren of both ranch, and buffalo sauce. They had been glazed with what I could only refer to as the "essence" of buffalo sauce and ranch dressing, barely enough buffalo sauce to dot the surface of the tenders, and no ranch on them to speak of. My drink, the simplest thing of the order, was almost entirely ice. A cup with a hint of soda between the space provided inside of its iced prison. It looked almost as if they had packed my cup to the rim with the ice, compressed it down, and simply filled the gaps between with a generous portion of 3oz of soda.
The only part of my lunch that was remotely up to standard, was the seasoned fries. These are difficult to make a mistake, and are the only reason this review is getting one star, and posted here in the first place. Otherwise, I would be right back at the restaurant with an in-face complaint.
This is the only Zaxby's I have ever been to, that has done me wrong this way. My personal recommendation is to instead travel 3 minutes down the road to capital circle, and visit the location near Home Depot. They have much faster service, with employees that are more apt to fulfill an order to the Zaxby's quality standards. Avoid...
