I make a mobile order to pick-up as I work close by and sometimes I’d just like to get something quick to eat. Every time I’ve done this, busy or not busy my order is not started until I show up and ask for it. Today, it was moderately busy, I asked for my food and was told it was “being worked on and not ready” awesome, I figured since every other time it’s been the same way. Almost 30 minutes go by and they’re calling out other people’s names who are there for pickup. They never called our name, every 10 minutes we got up and looked behind the counter and on the receiving counter. Come 28 minutes they called more names, never called us and had it sitting behind the counter. Stupid me should have checked to make everything was correct. Get back to work, guess what? The main item which is a spicy signature club sandwich which has been made more than 100 times a day. It was grilled rubber and slimy. It wasn’t even a club, it was just a light amount of ranch and some shredded lettuce… not even a club. So I got gyped twice. Luckily I take however long of a lunch I need, but other people don’t so you’re actively wasting peoples time, the same way I’m just wasting my time writing this out. It’s ridiculous that it takes this long to get orders out. It seems if the drive thru gets any sort of customers they immediately only cater to those people, once the line is done they work on other things. Mobile orders make nearly half your business, it’s been that way for more than a decade. In-house and drive-thru makes the rest. There’s no reason it should...
Read moreSince there is not one near my home, I decided to drive to the closest one to try it out. It was very good. I ate inside and my order taker was out-going and friendly. After saying I never ate at Zaxby's before, he smiled and asked why I was looking up at the menu. "I'm your menu," he said with a smile. And he was; very knowledgeably explaining their various items and cheerfully responding to questions.
I got their plate meal with 5 chicken fingers, coleslaw, still-warm homemade potato chips, and "nuclear sauce" for the chicken and for the chips ranch dipping sauce. I chose to drink their unsweetened tea, which was excellent, tasting like brewed instead of from an instant powder. In addition to sweet and unsweet tea containers, the drink station offered one of the multi-choice drink kiosks which let you mix & match your soda choices. I found it funny that the drink cup says "TONGUE T🔥RCH SAUCE EXTINGUISHER", because the tea indeed was good at diminishing the burn from the nuclear sauce. The meal also came with a piece of Texas toast, which was also good at fire quenching. An unfortunate side effect of the nuclear sauce was that while my mouth burned, the flavor of the tea was masked. Since the drink station offered refills, I made up for that problem by refilling my tea before leaving. Total cost with...

But the Chick-fil-a on Wickham road has been closed for remodeling so I thought I would give them a try
We have now come here 4 times. The first time everything was fantastic and I thought the fries were awesome. The seasoning they use has some spice to it. But is not so over the top that you can't taste the potato.
I thought it was a very good balance.
We did get some of their chicken finger sandwiches which they call Nibblerz. I wasn't too thrilled with the sauce that they put on them. But other than that, they were good.
On our second trip, the fries had no seasoning on them. They were just playing old crinkle cut french fries and I thought maybe I had a bad memory.
So we had to come back for a third time. And once again, the first experience repeated itself.
One thing that surprised me was that among their list of sauces there was teriyaki. It was a very good teriyaki at that
I thought the service was quick. Everybody enjoyed their food. And it will be on my list...
